In recent years, the need for energy storage systems for power grids has increased due to issues such as the output suppression of renewable energy and the need to achieve carbon neutrality. Our company will hold a seminar titled "Development of Chemical Recycling Technology for Plastics and Future Challenges." Recycling of plastics, alongside metals, is an urgent issue in achieving the global challenge of a circular economy, and in our country, the goal is to achieve zero simple incineration and landfill by 2035. Currently, over 8 million tons of plastic are being discarded, with polyolefins, represented by polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene, accounting for about 70% of this. Establishing recycling technologies for these materials is a significant challenge. This presentation will particularly focus on chemical recycling technology, discussing trends both domestically and internationally, as well as the development status of the catalytic decomposition technology we are working on, and will elaborate on the technical and social challenges necessary to realize plastic recycling. The Next Generation Medical Infrastructure Act is a special law under the Personal Information Protection Act that promotes the utilization of medical data while protecting personal information. However, there have been criticisms regarding the previous framework, as the "anonymized medical information" that is utilized is difficult to use for research due to the removal of rare disease names, and its application for drug approval has also been challenging. The amended bill was enacted in the regular session of the National Diet in 2023 and has been in effect since April of this year. The main contents of the amendment include the establishment of a system that allows the use of "pseudonymized medical information" and the possibility of linking data from this law with data from sources like the NDB. Our company will hold a seminar on the "Omiya Station Grand Central Station Concept" in Saitama City. In the "Metropolitan Area Wide Area Plan" decided by the Cabinet in 2016, Omiya is positioned as a hub connecting Eastern Japan. To promote urban development around the station, improve transportation infrastructure, and enhance station functions in a unified manner, the Omiya Station Grand Central Station Concept was formulated in 2018, followed by the Omiya GCS Plan 2020 in 2020. Based on these plans, we have been in discussions with transportation operators and landowners of development blocks around the station to move towards concrete realization.
