"VE3D" is a virtual embossing process that can print three-dimensional effects on surfaces such as flexible packaging and foil covers for PET bottles. After applying UV varnish, a polymer plate that retains 3D elements is brought into contact with the still wet pearl varnish, disrupting the orientation of the pigments. The UV coating layer quickly returns to a uniform surface, but the pigments maintain their (disrupted) positions to express the 3D image obtained from the polymer plate. We would like to introduce our "Laser Marked Cosmetic Bottles." The "Orange Bottle" is designed using Iriodin 305 Solar Gold effect pigment, color masterbatch, and over 60% recycled polymer. Two established methods for incorporating effect pigments into powder coatings are introduced: "Drive Blend Method / Bonding Method." In the "Drive Blend Method," a simple and inexpensive mixing machine is used to mix effect pigments and powder coatings as gently as possible. The "Bonding Method" thermally adheres effect pigments to the particles of powder coatings.
