This device is an automatic press processing machine that connects three 15-ton servo press units. It transports roll-shaped film material set on a reel shaft using a roll feeder. It performs punching processing at any specified location with up to three different mold shapes. It is also equipped with a half-cut mechanism, making it particularly suitable for processing long products.

• Other processing machines

The tip of the punch can be processed with a blade and incorporated into a punching die. It is particularly effective when processing soft materials. The blade angle is 0° on the outside and 30° on the inside, with a blade height of 2mm. When viewed from the side, it has a U-shaped profile, which reduces the load during punching, thereby decreasing the burden on the product. If you are facing issues such as cracks appearing in products where the dimensions change significantly with a flat punch, we recommend our blade punch.

This device is equipped with a mechanism that automatically loads and unloads small products into and out of a mold. It can be retrofitted to the back of a press and automates the time-consuming manual tasks of installing and retrieving products. Our company provides a dedicated mold that works in conjunction with this device to position products within the mold. Due to design changes, it can also be mounted on other press machines.

The "SSE-VI04" is an inspection device operating in our clean room. It transports roll-to-roll press-cut products using a roll feeder and conducts visual inspection through image processing with a line camera. Defective products are automatically stamped.

The sliding part uses high-precision LM guides, enabling stable parallelism to be maintained over a long period. This is a device for visually inspecting roll-to-roll products produced in our clean room while winding them with a motor. It accommodates products with a maximum width of 180 mm and is equipped with LED lighting, allowing for easy operation of the motor's rotation direction and speed from the control panel.

• Visual Inspection Equipment

SSE-VI01 primarily conducts appearance inspections after processing for press-formed products such as reinforcement plates made of SUS or aluminum (inspections for burrs, scratches, etc., and confirmation of the presence or absence of cuts). The workpieces are transported on an XY stage, and image processing is performed for each block with pre-specified coordinates, displaying a comprehensive judgment of OK/NG. The details of individual judgments are stored on the image processing device and can also be uploaded to a server via network connection.

• Visual Inspection Equipment

Equipped with a compact housing*, a pick-and-place unit, air press, and linear motor for transportation, this device enables automatic and efficient thermal pressing! It is a groundbreaking device that allows for the thermal pressing of complex reinforcement plates with the push of a button. The pick-and-place unit can supply multiple reinforcement plates at once. The accumulation of scrap during press processing can lead to defects caused by product dents, as well as damage or breakage of punches, dies, and fixtures, making it one of the issues that can result in defects during press processing. Factors contributing to scrap accumulation include adhesion due to vacuum, adhesion to the punch, and lifting caused by compressed air in the die. To dramatically reduce scrap accumulation, it is possible to process the cutting edge of the punch, add air holes to the punch, and attach ejector pins. We are devising ways to implement these countermeasures without needing additional measures after mass production begins, considering when to apply these measures and which methods are the most cost-effective.

• Mold Design

We own processing test molds at our company, so simple processing tests are possible. - Clearance test molds In addition to round holes, we can simultaneously test various shapes such as squares and stars, as well as long punching processes like C-shaped molds, depending on the clearance. - Engraving blade test molds We have several types with different blade angles. You can check the condition of the material on the cross-section and top surface of the processed products. Additionally, based on the test results, we can also suggest the optimal mold production, taking costs into consideration, such as die set molds and simple QDC molds.

• Mold Design

The "SSE-LS01" is a multilayer film laminating device that transports film materials used in flexible substrates and similar applications in a roll-to-roll manner. During this process, it performs tasks such as removing unnecessary parts of the film, applying protective paper, and peeling or inserting interleaving paper on the work stage of the device, ultimately finishing the product. The film material is transported by a roll feeder. We would like to introduce a case study of our company's "Cover Film Die Cutting" die set mold processing. The material width is 250mm in roll form. The material composition consists of a heat-resistant carrier film of 50μm, a PI film of 9μm, an adhesive layer of 20μm, and a paper separator of 150μm, with a total thickness of 229μm. The "sculpting blade" is widely used for applications that require half-cutting multi-layer products instead of full cutting. The Thomson blade (Vick blade) was primarily developed for processing cardboard and paperboard, but it is now widely used for industrial applications. At Sekiguchi Manufacturing, we create "molds (blade molds)" by bending and embedding shaped blades into steel plates and aluminum plates. This mold is set in a press machine, allowing processing by placing the material to be processed onto the die plate. The "SSE-VI03" is a device that performs OK/NG judgment on long press-cut products rolled up in a roll using image processing inspection, and can cut them to a fixed length for storage. It can cut the workpiece at a high speed of up to 0.5 seconds per piece (for a work length of 150mm) with precision. It significantly improves takt time and productivity through a three-head operation method, and achieves high-precision attachment by correcting the position of the workpiece using image processing. The "SSD500-SC-P" is a dedicated semi-automatic processing machine equipped with a mechanism that allows the lower die of the press to slide back and forth, as well as a workpiece transport device. When the material is set and the start button is pressed, the transport device picks up the material and loads it onto the die (lower die). The lower die then slides to the press position, performs the punching operation, and moves back to the transport position.
