Previously, forest management involved recording survey results in paper notebooks, which posed challenges in accumulating and sharing long-term data. With this app, users can identify the identification numbers of standing trees using NFC tags and register survey results and photos on their smartphones, saving them to the cloud. This enables the collected tree data to be used as a catalog, creating a system that connects hardwoods to buyers. The company wanted to utilize the cloud to store data long-term, as the risk of using analog management methods for their standing timber inventory catalog was high. With this app, users can register measurement data and simply touch the tag attached to the tree with their smartphone to instantly read the registered measurement data. This is a case where we added an order creation and linkage function to the internal business system of Itami Art Co., Ltd., and also developed a new shipping data linkage system. The company took steps to streamline the order processing operations that had previously been handled analogously, aiming to improve the efficiency of order processing to suppliers. After the system delivery, it became possible to quickly search for production status, shipping dates, and past order data, which reduced the need for phone confirmations among staff. The number of outsourced projects increased from about 20 per day to around 80, and tasks that used to require a team of five can now be managed sufficiently by just two people.
