The explosion-proof structure that is applied only to electrical equipment that does not act as an ignition source during normal operation and functioning is designed to enhance safety in environments where such equipment is used continuously. Therefore, structures that are designed to minimize the likelihood of generating such ignition sources are referred to as increased safety explosion-proof structures, and there are limitations on the types of electrical equipment to which they can be applied. Even equipment that does not act as an ignition source under normal conditions cannot be applied if it cannot have its safety increased.

By placing electrical equipment that serves as an ignition source inside a container with explosion-proof performance, the structure is designed to ensure that even if an explosion occurs inside the container, it does not affect the outside. It must have sufficient strength to withstand internal explosions and prevent fires from igniting externally through gaps in the container's joints.

The standard VFM is designed as a waterproof and oil-proof type, while the WFM is for heat resistance and can be used for protection against cutting chips, welding spatter, and noise countermeasures. The K-Flex Type KCS is a registered product under the Canadian CSA standard C22.2 No. 56 "Flexible Metal Conduit and Liquid Tight Flexible Metal Conduits." The structure of the conduit features a core made of galvanized steel strip coated with oil-resistant and highly flexible vinyl as a jacket.

The K-Flex Type KUU is a product that has passed the US UL standards, while Type KSC has passed the Canadian CSA standards. KUU incorporates copper wire within spiral tubes sized #12 to #36, reducing the electrical resistance of the tube and providing a structure to ground any potential short-circuit current. Sizes #42 to #104 do not incorporate copper wire and have a structure where the spiral tube is bent into an interlock. Therefore, when using sizes #42 and above, please add a separate ground wire to the wiring according to Section 351 of the NEC (National Electrical Code). Additionally, nylon bushings are standardly incorporated at the connector terminal. K-Flex Type KUU is registered under the US UL standard UL360 "Liquid-Tight Flexible Steel Conduit." The structure of the tube features a core made of zinc-coated steel band, covered with UL-compliant vinyl that is flame-retardant and weather-resistant.

The rotating part is suitable for applications such as the twisting part of a flex, the speed turning part, and the 360° rotating part, due to the bearings.

The "Angle Connector for Sanflex (90° Type)" is a 90° connector used to connect Sanflex to knockout openings in control panels. The tensile strength of the connector is 250N (JIS Light) for "Sanflex ROBO" sizes #16 to #63. The "K-M ATEX Plus" is an explosion-proof skintop that allows for easy and secure tightening using a multi-start trapezoidal screw. Its structure and design are equivalent to the skintop "ST-M."
