0571 Solve the discharge problem from the vacuum truck tank (such as quicklime, etc.)

We recommend adopting models with a large air volume! A case where the problem was solved by a blow disc.

This is an example of a problem solved using a blow disk, based on consultations from operators using special vehicles. The vacuum vehicle discharges what it has suctioned into a flexible container, but due to the degree of tank dumping, there were cases where the powder did not fall. By installing a blow disk in the accumulation area, the problem was resolved. Since the materials being suctioned can vary, including hydrated lime and cement, we recommended adopting a model with a higher air volume. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue - There were cases where the powder did not fall when discharging what was suctioned into the flexible container. ■ Result - Adopted the BD-20, which has a higher air volume than the standard BD-15 (due to the variety of materials including hydrated lime and cement). - Installed a blow disk in the accumulation area, resolving the issue. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0572 Base damage due to air knocker → Change to this equipment.

Stable operation without degradation of elastic disks! Guidance on model selection and placement, along with case studies of implementation.

To stabilize the supply from the gypsum service tank, we significantly increased the strikes of the air knocker, but the knocker base was damaged, which is why we received an inquiry about considering this equipment. It has been quite some time since you adopted this equipment, and there have been no issues with the hopper or any deterioration of the elastic disk, allowing for stable operation. 【Overview of Conditions】 ■ Material: Gypsum powder ■ Hopper Diameter: Ø600 ■ Discharge Method: Ø300 Screw Feeder 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability due to the risk of foreign matter contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment excels in strength and durability. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Improvement of poor outflow of food raw materials (germ, husk).

A case where a Brody disk standard type was installed just above the screw to improve work efficiency!

We would like to introduce a case where the bridge formation of the germ layer skin that occurs during rice milling was resolved within the silo. At the time of the problem, a bridge was forming above the screw, and discharge occurred once every few days. Each time, the workers had to poke the bridge with a stick to break it up. As a countermeasure, we installed a total of 12 standard-type Brody disks, 6 on each of the two surfaces, just above the screw along its surface. By eliminating the bridge, we were able to improve work efficiency, and the users gave us high praise. 【Case Overview】 ■ Silo Overview - Size: Approximately 2000×4000 (4000 surface/2 surfaces are inclined) - Discharge: Screw conveyor ■ Problem Occurrence Situation - A bridge was forming above the screw mentioned above - Discharge occurred once every few days, but each time, workers had to poke the bridge with a stick to break it up *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0574 to a lime storage silo (eccentric hopper)

Introduction case of Brodisk! I provided various advice including experiences and more.

We received an inquiry from a plant engineering company and provided various advice, after which they decided to adopt our solutions. The subject matter is quicklime (our equipment is widely used for quicklime). The shape of the storage tank is an eccentric hopper, and since the gentle slope side was relatively mild for a quicklime hopper, we installed it in three tiers, primarily focusing on the gentle slope side rather than in two tiers. Using a controller (C-SV4) with four built-in solenoid valves, air is turned on in a staggered manner for the lower, middle, and upper tiers. [Case Overview] ■ Storage Tank Overview - Shape: Eccentric Hopper - Size: Straight body diameter Φ1400, discharge diameter Φ150 ■ Product Specifications - Blowing Disk BD-15S-B, 8 units - Controller C-SV4, 1 unit *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0575 Alloy powder + resin powder bridge elimination

Only when it gets clogged, manually turn on the air! An example of its use as a bridge countermeasure.

We would like to introduce a case where measures against bridging in the powder material hopper of a press machine are being utilized. There was a concern that the press material (alloy powder + resin powder) could bridge and not fall even when hammering. To address this, we installed one standard Brody disk (BD-15S-B) on the central face of the three inclined surfaces. The user initially consulted us about wanting to try the installation, so after discussing the installation location, we lent them the equipment. The results were favorable, and they have adopted it. [Case Overview] ■ Hopper Overview - Size: 400×400 - Shape: 3 inclined surfaces (1 vertical) - Discharge section: Φ100 flexible *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0576 Solution to the Rat Hole Phenomenon (Quicklime)

Introducing a case study on the implementation of a blow disk in exhaust gas treatment equipment where rat holes have occurred!

We received a consultation from the operator regarding the occurrence of rat holes in an operational environmental plant (waste incineration) that has been running for quite some time. The details of when the trouble started are unclear, but it seems that the properties of hydrated lime may have changed significantly some time ago. After reviewing the silo drawings and contents, as well as hearing about the state of the rat holes, we provided an appropriate proposal that included costs, which was then implemented. The results, of course, have been favorable. 【Case Overview】 ■ Target Equipment: Exhaust Gas Treatment Equipment ■ Silo Diameter: Φ4000 ■ Discharge Method: Circle Feeder ■ Target Material: Hydrated Lime 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of the risk of foreign material contamination, as strength and durability are crucial. The silicone disk of our equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is important! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Mounting on the wheat flour hopper.

Installed 4 Brodisk BD-15S-W! Introducing examples of measures against bridge generation.

This is a case where a hopper for wheat flour has been adopted. Bridging occurs due to the type of wheat flour, so a Brody disk was installed as a countermeasure. Issues that could not be resolved with a shock-type bridge breaker were cleared with this equipment. There are multiple types of wheat flour, and only a few types cause bridging, so air is manually turned on only when a problem occurs. Additionally, the elastic disk used in this equipment (standard specification) is made of a highly durable special silicone rubber that complies with food hygiene laws. 【Case Overview】 ■ Target: Wheat flour - with oil content ■ Hopper - Size: 600×600 - Discharge section: φ150 - Inclination: 45° *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solving resin pellet clogging

Effect confirmation through the lending of the main unit! A case where the Brody Disk and controller were introduced.

We adopted the 'Brodisk' because the resin pellets from waste plastic were bridging in the hopper and could not be filled into the bulk bag. Although the flowability of the material is not particularly poor, there were issues with discharge due to the gentle slope of the hopper. In cases with this level of flowability and hopper size, it is common to install one unit per side near the discharge area (a total of four units). However, in this case, due to the gentle slope of the hopper, we installed two units per side (a total of eight units). Additionally, the air ON time was set slightly longer. [Overview] ■ Material: Resin pellets Φ5×20–30 (with variations in shape and size) ■ Hopper: 1400×1400 Discharge section 250A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Our company has accumulated various experiences, so we can inform you of the models, arrangements, and controls suitable for your conditions. 【Target Material】 ■ Name: Metal Oxide ■ Particle Size: Approximately 10 microns on average ■ Specific Gravity: Loose 2, Firm 3 ■ Angle of Repose: Over 50° 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability due to the risk of foreign matter contamination. Our silicone disks are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use them, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *Details of the case can be viewed through the related links.

Installed in the flexible container receiving hopper.

We will introduce the installation of the flexible container receiving hopper in a column format!

We would like to introduce a case where a BroaDisk was installed in a bulk bag receiving hopper. The types and quantities of materials being fed change frequently, and the occurrence of bridging varies depending on the conditions. While the specific materials are confidential, they mainly consist of quite troublesome substances that are fine powders prone to compaction over time. In this case, we installed eight standard BroaDisks (BD-15). The customer requested a loan of the BroaDisk, and after testing it, they decided to proceed with the installation. [Case Overview (Partial)] - Hopper Diameter: Ø1500 - Discharge Diameter: 250A [Key Points of This Equipment] - The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of the risk of foreign material contamination, as well as strength and durability. The silicone disks in this equipment are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! - Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *Detailed information about the case can be viewed through the related links.

0624 At the de-salting device for incineration exhaust gas

Examples of our equipment being widely adopted in various fields using quicklime, other chemicals, fly ash, etc.!

We will introduce an example of how we resolved a problem with the discharge of descaling agents from the flue gas treatment silo of the incinerator. Initially, there were no issues when receiving the agent from the tank truck into the storage silo, but as the storage volume decreased to a certain extent, it formed a rat hole and stopped discharging. By installing eight standard blow discs (BD-15) and using a controller (C-SV4) with four built-in solenoid valves to sequentially turn on the air for two blow discs at a time with a time delay, we achieved good results. [Challenges] - When the storage volume decreases to a certain extent, it forms a rat hole and stops discharging. - Although there are hammering devices and air aeration nozzles, they are ineffective in this condition. - Silo diameter is Ø2000. *For more detailed information about this case, please refer to the related links. *For more details, please check the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
