Brodisque

It demonstrates excellent effectiveness in addressing issues such as bridging and clogging of powders in tanks ranging from small hoppers to large silos.

0656 Bridge measures for 2-3μm fine powder

Can be used with inert gases such as nitrogen gas or argon gas instead of regular air!

We would like to introduce a case where the "Blow Disk Mini" was implemented as a countermeasure for very fine powder materials. The customer expressed a desire to "minimize the amount of gas used," and initially requested to test with only two Blow Disk Minis installed near the discharge area, which we provided for loan. As this test did not resolve the issue, we added two more Blow Disk Minis above, resulting in a successful outcome. 【Conditions】 ■ Hopper diameter: Ø600 ■ Discharge diameter: 125A ■ Material: Name undisclosed (average particle diameter: 2-3 microns) ■ Gas used: Air not permitted, inert gas used 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability due to the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. A dedicated controller is also available.

0657 Measures against bridging of sticky fine powders

Guidance on the arrangement of the Brodisk and its control plan! Introducing a case that resolved the bridging of adhesive fine powder.

We would like to introduce a case where a comprehensive chemical manufacturer adopted the "Brodie Disk." They consulted us because they were experiencing bridging in a sticky fine powder hopper and requested a proposal for the introduction of the Brodie Disk. We sent them a plate set with the Brodie Disk designed to resemble the hopper wall, and the user confirmed the air injection and vibration with the above product, leading to their understanding of the device's overview and the decision to implement it. [Case Overview] ■ Hopper Size: 1000×1200 ■ Outlet Size: 200×200 (the outlet is shifted to one side) ■ Device Placement Overview: One unit on each of the three gently sloped surfaces (each unit is near the discharge area), and three units on one steep slope (one unit near the discharge area and two units above it), for a total of six units installed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0660 At the foundry sand regeneration facility

Most cases, such as bridges and rat holes, can be easily resolved with this equipment!

We would like to introduce a case where "Blow Disks" were installed in a hopper (dust collector) that generates fine dust during the regeneration of foundry sand. The issue was that the fine dust easily absorbed moisture, causing bridging when stored in the dust collector hopper, making it impossible to discharge. We provided information on the arrangement and control of this equipment tailored to the customer's usage conditions, and after detailed discussions, it was implemented. The results have been excellent, with no bridging occurring at all. 【Overview of Arrangement and Control】 - A total of 8 Blow Disks (standard type BD-15) were installed, with 4 in the lower section and 4 in the upper section. The lower section was arranged in the left, right, and center, while the upper section had the 4 disks positioned towards the corners. - The 8 Blow Disks were sequentially aerated in pairs with a time delay using a controller (C-SV4) that incorporates 4 solenoid valves. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0661 Applicable to elastomer grinding materials

This equipment is used in various ways for bridge measures against crushed materials of various resins!

We would like to introduce a case where a business engaged in resin injection molding adopted the "Brodisk." The issue was that in the elastomer raw material hopper, increasing the ratio of crushed material caused bridging, and even after installing an air injection nozzle and implementing static electricity countermeasures, there was no effect. After hearing the details, we provided examples of countermeasures regarding the model and placement of our equipment, and it was subsequently introduced. The results have been favorable. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper Diameter: Ø200 ■ Discharge Diameter: Ø40 ■ Cone Section Inclination: 45° ■ Target Material: Elastomer/Virgin Raw Material (approximately 3mm) + Crushed Material (up to approximately 10mm) ■ Equipment Placement: Three Brodisk Mini units installed around the circumference at the upper and lower center of the cone section ■ Equipment Control: Simultaneous air ON/OFF for the three Brodisk units via Controller C-SV1 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Installed in the wood planer powder silo.

Easily solve unsolvable powder bridges! No more expensive equipment needed.

We received an inquiry from a machinery equipment manufacturer regarding a new silo installation project, and we would like to introduce a case where we supplied "Brodie Disks." The inquiry was based on their past experience with issues related to bridges, and they wanted to ensure adequate measures were taken for this new project. We installed 24 standard Brodie Disks: 4 on the first level, 4 on the second level, 8 on the third level, and 8 on the fourth level. Due to the shape of the silo (such as the angle of inclination), there was a possibility of not installing the fourth level and opting for 16 disks instead. However, considering the variations in the proportions of different powder types and seasonal risks, we decided to install 24 disks. [Case Overview] ■ Material: Wood planer dust, fine powder, sanding dust ■ Silo Diameter: Ø3800 ■ Discharge Outlet Dimensions: 300×300 ■ Discharge Device: Rotary Valve ■ Silo Volume: 40m3 ■ Discharge Rate: 10–20m3/hr *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0663 At the hopper of the air transport machine

We can provide guidance on model selection, placement, and control according to the user's requirements!

We would like to introduce a case study where our "Brodisk" was adopted. The fluidity of the material was quite poor, and although there was an aeration mechanism, bridging occurred at the top. As a countermeasure, our product was installed. The size of the outlet at the bottom of the hopper is 2S. There is a metal multi-layer mesh section above this, and by installing the Brodisk (standard type BD-15) further up (approximately one-third from the bottom of the hopper), the customer's issue was resolved. 【Case Overview】 ■ Equipment: Hopper of an air transport system ■ Existing countermeasure: Aeration near the discharge section using multi-layer mesh ■ Hopper diameter: Ø1000 ■ Material: Spices *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case study regarding the delivery of the Baiton Brodisk Mini. We received an inquiry from a customer in the electronic components industry stating, "We are unable to effectively resolve the clogging of powder materials (bridging phenomenon). Hitting it with a resin hammer has no effect, and using a vibrator only compresses the powder further. How can we prevent the bridging of the powder?" The results of the implementation have been favorable. Since it is a measure using air aeration, the powder does not become overly compacted, and there is no damage to the hopper.
