Bridge Breaker "Brodisk" Implementation Examples - From small hoppers to large silos - For all types of hoppers and storage tanks! For all types of powders and granules!

0401 Improvement measures for existing users (calcium hydroxide)

After the implementation of the improvement measures, we have received feedback that there are no longer any rat holes at all!

This is a case inquiry from a user who has already installed a Brodisk. Although they purchased and installed the Brodisk as a measure against rat holes, they consulted us because they observed that the rat holes had not been resolved upon visual inspection of the inside of the hopper during maintenance. As a countermeasure, we advised them to increase the number of Brodisk installations, reconsider the placement, use a controller with four solenoid valves, and review the air piping (such as tube diameter conditions), which they implemented. After implementing this improvement plan, the user reported that there were no rat holes at all. [Overview of Usage Conditions] (Placement overview and control after improvement) ■ Hopper dimensions: 1500×1500 ■ Approximate dimensions of hopper discharge area: 300×300 ■ Placement overview: 2 units on one side, totaling 8 units installed ■ Control: Air is turned on sequentially in pairs with a time delay using a controller that incorporates four solenoid valves. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0402 First, visit our company for your loan request (resin recycled material).

Frequent bridge failures occur, so I want to resolve this as soon as possible! Case study of Brodisk Mini adoption.

This is a case we received a call about from a company in Osaka that is engaged in plastic molding. Despite having a very tight deadline for a large order of a new product, they expressed a desire to resolve frequent bridging issues as soon as possible. They brought a sample of the material that was bridging, and upon inspection, it was a type of material we are quite familiar with, so we had no particular concerns. We guided them on the placement of the blow disc and provided the necessary quantity on the spot. We received a report that it was installed the same day and the results were good, and at the same time, they placed an order for the equipment and controller. [Overview] ■ Hopper Overview: Suction transport hopper approximately 200φ ■ Target Material: Plastic recycled material (pellets + powder... with a relatively high amount of powder) * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. 0403 Bridge measures for crushed resin tube products

Case study of adopting Brody Disk Mini for bridge measures in resin tube crushing products.

This is a case where a resin product manufacturer adopted the Brody Disk Mini. They consulted us early on because the target material was bridging inside the hopper during mass production trials, and they wanted to resolve this issue quickly. Considering the user's thoughts, we installed four Brody Disk Minis. The price difference between using two Brody Disk Minis with a controller and using four Brody Disk Minis with a controller is not significant. Given the potential for bridging with other materials that may have poor flow in the future, they decided it would be best to ensure a thorough solution from the start. Since this equipment is economical, I believe such a decision is reasonable. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper: 200mm diameter cone (discharge part is 50mm) ■ Material: Resin tube crushed product (2mm pass) … looks fluffy * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous examples of implementations. 0405 No knockers and aeration issues, solved with this equipment!

Not only in this case, but most users are improving powder discharge using this device alone!

This is a case study of our adoption by an industrial waste disposal contractor. In a quicklime silo, compressed air is being pulsed through several 1/4 air nozzles as a bridge prevention measure, but bridging continues to occur. Even after installing air knockers in addition to the air nozzles, the issue was not resolved, leading them to contact us. When introducing our product, they considered using it alongside the already installed air knockers, but after operating solely with the blow discs for a certain period, they informed us that no bridging had occurred with just this solution. [Overview] ■ Silo diameter: Approximately 3000φ ■ Discharge section: 200φ ■ Target material: Quicklime ■ Equipment control: Controlled by a controller with 6 built-in solenoid valves, sequentially turning on 12 blow discs in pairs with a time delay. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0416 Measures to prevent blockage in the transport hopper for health food powder.

Air injection along the inner surface of the hopper from around the silicon disk to eliminate powder bridging and blockages.

We received inquiries from users who had already purchased the Brodisk Mini regarding the installation position and the air pressure to be used. Regarding air pressure, since it is the Brodisk Mini, we recommended starting with approximately 0.2 MPa. Additionally, based on experience, we suggested installing two Brodisk Minis closer to the discharge area rather than 100 mm above it, and then installing two more above these two. Later, they implemented this configuration and reported that there were no blockages at all. 【Hopper Overview】 ■ Hopper Diameter: 600φ ■ Discharge Section: 1.5S *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0417 Bridge Measures for Powder Coatings

If you are having trouble with bridges or rat holes, please try this device!

As a countermeasure for bridging in powder coatings, we first received a request to lend this equipment. When lending, there was a specification that the material of the demo unit (elastic disk part) should be something other than silicone, so we prepared and lent a model made of EPDM (ethylene propylene rubber). The hopper has an overview of approximately 600mm in diameter, so we recommended installing three BroaDisk (BD-15 type) and, since the discharge section is relatively small, we suggested placing three BroaDisk Mini (BD-08 type) in that area, and testing was conducted under these conditions. The results were favorable, and it was decided to adopt this equipment and controller. 【Product Specifications】 ■ BroaDisk: BD-15S-EW 3 units ■ BroaDisk Mini: BD-08S-EW 3 units ■ Controller: C-SV1 1 unit * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0422 Poor discharge from bulk container

We have decided to adopt it for all containers used in truck transportation!

We have received numerous adoptions of our equipment from customers who operate a large number of SUS square bulk containers. Initially, the containers were only used within the same facility, but as they began transporting them externally, vibrations during truck transport caused the contents to compact, leading to discharge issues. To address this, we were contacted to borrow four units of our standard model (BD-15). Since they needed one unit for each side of the square hopper, a total of four units were requested for installation. After discussing various conditions and determining that there were no particular issues, we provided advice on the installation locations and promptly lent them the units. The test results were extremely favorable, leading to the decision to adopt our equipment for all containers used in truck transport. 【Overview】 ■ Container size: Approximately 1000×1000 ■ Discharge section: 250φ ■ Target material: Chemicals * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. We would like to introduce a case where our product was installed to prevent bridging in a hopper with very fine grinding materials. In this case, the customer had previously experienced damage due to wear in the transport piping of this material, and they were concerned about whether the hopper walls would wear due to air injection from the blow disk. By placing a wear-resistant rubber sheet between the blow disk and the inner wall of the hopper, the system is now operating without any issues. 【Installation Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: 800×800 ■ Discharge: Screw feeder ■ Equipment arrangement: A total of 4 standard type (BD-15) units installed, one on each side ■ Control: A controller (C-SV4) with 4 built-in solenoid valves operates each unit individually with relatively low pressure air, with a relatively longer air ON time for each activation ■ Rubber sheet: φ200 (larger size, smaller size is also acceptable) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0588 Preventing rat holes in the baking soda silo

Examples of resolving issues such as "rat holes occurring" and "nozzles getting clogged"!

Due to frequent troubles with aeration in the existing silo, we consulted and introduced the "Brodie Disk." The contents are sodium bicarbonate, and aeration was being done with nozzles to prevent bridging. However, issues such as "rat holes forming" and "nozzles clogging" occurred, and these problems have been resolved with this equipment. The Brodie Disk is easy to install and economical, but placement is important, so please do not hesitate to contact us. We also offer free rentals of this equipment. 【Overview】 ■ Silo Diameter: φ1800 ■ Discharge Diameter: 200A ■ Target Material: Fine Powder Sodium Bicarbonate 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. A dedicated controller is also available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
