0310 Resolving discharge issues in the gypsum weighing tank

Introducing the case of the Brody disk adopted to solve the discharge issues in the gypsum measuring tank.

This is an example of our bridge breaker being introduced at a recycling plant due to frequent discharge troubles in the weighing tank during the summer. It seems that the flowability of the materials being accepted varies from day to day, and particularly, troubles occur from the rainy season to summer. Many of the troubles faced by this customer were due to material remaining on one side of the hopper, but in this case, since it was a square hopper, the issue was resolved by installing blow disks on the three sides where the material was remaining. 【Overview of Usage】 ■ Hopper dimensions: 800×800 ■ Discharge: 250A butterfly valve ■ Equipment name: Recycling plant (related to gypsum) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features many examples of implementations. 0311 Incineration facility for industrial waste (calcium hydroxide)

Case of Brody disk adopted for bridge measures in a quicklime silo for harmful gas countermeasures.

The equipment was adopted for bridge prevention in the lime silo for hazardous gas countermeasures at an industrial waste incineration facility. We have a significant track record in such applications. In one case, the customer was using a different method of aeration in the lime silo, but the bridging could not be completely resolved, and the lime had clumped together, possibly due to moisture in the air. Therefore, our equipment was introduced. Initially, there was a risk regarding how much resistance the elastic disk of the blow disk would have against the clumps. However, the elastic disk of our equipment has excellent strength and aging resistance, and its thickness is sufficient, allowing for long-term use without any particular issues after installation. 【Silo Conditions】 ■ Diameter: 2000φ ■ Discharge Diameter: 350φ ■ Taper Section: 1600H *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies, which can be accessed through the link below.

0314 Bridge measures for needle-shaped crystal powder

Case of Brody disk adopted for the resolution of the bridge phenomenon in needle-shaped crystalline powder.

This is an example of a consultation from a manufacturing representative of an industrial materials manufacturer regarding the bridging phenomenon of the material "needle-like crystalline powder" in a hopper, and the inability to eliminate residuals at the four corners. This material is a new type, and it seems that existing bridging countermeasure equipment (such as knockers) did not work well. After receiving and reviewing the material sample and hopper drawings, I recommended the selection and arrangement of the blow disks and suggested conducting tests. Immediately, manual air control was tested, and good results were confirmed, leading to the implementation of automatic control through the introduction of a controller. [Overview of Usage Conditions] <Hopper Overview> ■ Dimensions: 1100×1100 <Blow Disk Arrangement and Operation> One blow disk is installed approximately 250 mm from the discharge section on each side, and another one is installed approximately 400 mm above this (closer to the corners). A total of eight blow disks are used, with four solenoid valves operating two disks each in sequence for aeration. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be accessed via the link below.

0315 Resolve the clogging of the range chip.

By installing the Brodisk standard type, the clogging is resolved!

To the facilities manufacturing functional resin products, we would like to introduce a case where our blow discs were supplied. From the user, we received an inquiry stating, "Chips of about 1-2mm are clogging at the hopper discharge section, so we installed a nozzle nearby for air aeration, but it hasn't resolved the issue." Since the material has relatively good flowability, we resolved the clogging by installing three standard blow discs 250mm above the hopper wall from the discharge section. Most cases we consult on involve materials with relatively poor flowability. Therefore, in the case of a hopper with a diameter of about 1200mm, it is common to install four or more blow discs, but in this instance, three installations worked effectively. 【Hopper Conditions】 ■ Diameter: 1200mm ■ Discharge Diameter: 125A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. Installed in the hopper of the packer scale.

Installed in the Packer Scale hopper! Introducing case studies of bridge countermeasures.

This equipment has been adopted for bridge measures in the packer scale hopper. The target material is a chemical, and since I wanted to confirm its properties, I requested a sample to be sent. Upon inspection, it appeared to be a troublesome type similar to titanium dioxide, but the customer viewed our equipment and decided to adopt it. We have numerous achievements even with general TiO2-like fine powders that have poor flowability and high adhesion. If you consult us regarding model selection or layout, we will provide suggestions tailored to your case. [Overview] ■ Hopper Inclination: <60 degrees *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *We have many implementation examples on our website. 0317 Bengal Bridge Countermeasures

Introduction of a case study on the implementation of Brodisk for bridge measures in Bengal.

The equipment was installed to prevent bridging of red iron oxide in the hopper of the screw feeder. Since the particle size of the material is quite fine and its fluidity is very poor, we recommended the "BD-20 type" with a higher air volume instead of the standard "BD-15 type." (Blow disk specification) The blow disk is an economical device, so even if many are installed, the cost remains limited. Our company provides advice on layout planning, so please feel free to consult us. 【Usage Conditions】 ■ Hopper Size: 1500 (screw direction) × 1000 ■ Material ・ Name: Iron oxide ・ Particle size: Approximately 1μm ・ Bulk density: 0.45 ■ Arrangement and Quantity of Blow Disks ・ Installed on two surfaces parallel to the screw ・ Three units on the lower level and two units on the upper level per side, divided into two tiers ・ A total of 10 units installed ■ Control Method ・ Based on the screw, two opposing blow disks are sequentially turned on with air in a time-lagged manner * For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. * Our website has many implementation examples available. 0320 Improve the poor outflow of diatomaceous earth.

Introducing examples of improvements made to blockages in hoppers and silos, as well as issues with the poor flow of diatomaceous earth.

Diatomaceous earth is clogging in the hopper and silo, and we received a consultation saying, "We want to do something about it since people are constantly involved." After explaining the features of our equipment, we provided several samples for them to take home. They tried it out in a small hopper from their idle equipment at the customer's factory, and of course, the results were good! They have introduced it into multiple tanks, including square and round hoppers. The blow disk is easy to install (especially no welding is required) and is low-cost, making it reasonable to install many units. [Key Points of Our Equipment] ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign matter contamination. The silicone disk of our equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller prepared. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *We have published numerous implementation examples on our company website.

0321 Solving the bridge of square pellets

Introducing examples of bridge measures implemented for rectangular prism materials.

This is an inquiry regarding a case where 'the pellets are bridging solidly just above the discharge valve, and it is difficult to resolve this with hammering from outside the hopper.' We had previous experience dealing with similar-sized materials, so we were able to provide information on layout and operating methods based on that. However, the material this time has quite a bit of stickiness on the surface. There was some risk involved, but we were able to achieve good results. [Overview] ■ Hopper Size: 1000φ ■ Discharge Outlet Diameter: 150A ■ Target Material: Pellets approximately 3mm x 3mm x 5mm ■ Other: This time, the air pressure was set higher, and the air ON time was set shorter. ■ All materials and processing are produced domestically. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0322 At the fertilizer manufacturing plant

Introducing a case study of the "Brodisk" adopted by a fertilizer manufacturing facility.

We would like to introduce a case that was brought to us by the maintenance representative of a fertilizer manufacturing facility. They are experiencing blockages in the hopper section of their manufacturing plant's dust collector and are troubled by this issue. Although bridging phenomena are occurring in other equipment as well, they have damaged the hopper due to measures such as hammering. Therefore, they requested a solution that would not cause damage to the hopper this time. The equipment is designed to utilize air injection from all around the silicone disk installed on the inner surface of the hopper, along with the effects of the vibration of the silicone disk during air ejection. Since it involves air injection and the vibration of the silicone rubber disk, it will not damage the hopper itself. [Overview] ■ Dust collector hopper dimensions: Approximately 1600×2200 ■ Number of blow disks installed: 12 * This time, 12 disks were installed to reduce the risk of residue remaining in the four corners of the hopper. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website contains numerous examples of implementations, which can be checked via the link below.

0323 Measures to Address Discharge Issues of Sewage Sludge Incineration Ash

Solving discharge troubles of sewage sludge incineration ash! Introducing case studies from wastewater treatment plants.

Here is a case study from a waste treatment facility in a certain city. "We received a consultation stating that in the storage tank for sewage sludge incineration ash, when the storage volume increases, it becomes impossible to extract using the feeder. It seems to be compacted at the bottom of the hopper." Since we had various experiences with sewage sludge incineration ash, we proposed a solution using a blow disk after reviewing the sludge sample, including layout plans. It was adopted promptly, and the trouble was resolved quickly. This equipment performs aeration inside the hopper (along the inner wall of the hopper), so depending on the conditions, it is very effective in addressing compaction caused by increased storage volume and longer storage time. [Overview] ■ Hopper Size - Approximately 3000 × 3000 ■ Blow Disk Arrangement, etc. - One unit just above the outlet on each side, plus two more above, totaling 12 units installed on four sides. - The controller, which incorporates six solenoid valves, sequentially supplies air to two blow disks at six locations with a time difference. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0350 Color Masterbatch Bridge Countermeasures

A case of introducing a Brody disk to a factory that manufactures resin products for medical and industrial use.

This is an introduction to a matter that was initially addressed through a phone call from a representative of a factory that manufactures resin products for medical and industrial use. It was indicated that sending material samples to our company was not possible, so we lent them the BroaDisk "BD-15S-W." They have adopted this equipment after confirming its performance. Our company regularly provides assistance with selecting the appropriate model of BroaDisk and its arrangement according to the user's situation, as well as lending products. 【Case Study】 <Problem Details and Conditions> ■ Color masterbatch pellets containing surfactants are causing bridging. ■ Raw Material Overview: Size is approximately 2mm x 2mm x 3mm, tends to clump when gripped. ■ Hopper Size: 400 x 400 (only one of the four sides has a gentle slope). ■ Hopper Discharge Section: 40φ <After Implementation> ■ Installed one standard BroaDisk on the gentle side. ■ Increased air pressure slightly to about 0.5Mpa, with intermittent operation of air ON for a short time. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies, which can be accessed via the link below.
