Sign lighting refers to tunnel lighting that shines white. In the event of a vehicle fire, it flashes red, and in the case of accidents, falling objects, or breakdowns, it flashes yellow to alert drivers. This allows drivers to drive their vehicles with peace of mind.

The Pace Maker Light is a tunnel lighting system that shines white and has green lights that illuminate in the direction of travel, creating a flow of light that drivers instinctively try to catch up with, helping to restore speed and alleviate traffic congestion. Conversely, when drivers exceed the green light, the Pace Maker Light employs technology to assist in speed regulation.

By adopting long-life, high-efficiency white LEDs as the light source and incorporating an initial luminous flux correction function, we achieve low maintenance and energy-saving properties. ○ It can reduce power consumption and CO2 emissions. ○ Maintenance work that requires traffic regulation can be minimized. Maintenance tasks that involve traffic regulation, such as lamp replacement, can be reduced. 1. We have delivered the first domestic tunnel lighting fixtures used for sign lighting and pace maker lights on the Shin-Meishin Expressway (from Takatsuki JCT/IC to Kobe JCT). To resolve and alleviate issues such as collision accidents and traffic congestion caused by falling objects while driving on the expressway, as well as the unintended deceleration that occurs when entering a tunnel, we developed a product equipped with functions not found in conventional tunnel lighting, making it the first of its kind in Japan, and delivered it to the Shin-Meishin Expressway. ● Sign Lighting Sign lighting refers to tunnel lighting that shines white but flashes red in the event of a vehicle fire, and flashes yellow during abnormal occurrences such as accidents, falling objects, or breakdowns, alerting drivers. This allows drivers to operate their vehicles with peace of mind. ● Pace Maker Light The pace maker light is a tunnel lighting that shines white but lights up green, with light flowing in the direction of travel. By controlling the driver's sense of speed as they try to catch up to the green light, it helps restore speed and alleviate traffic congestion. Conversely, if a driver overtakes the green light, the pace maker light employs technology to assist in speed regulation.

The newly developed tunnel LED lighting system, the first of its kind in Japan, has achieved miniaturization and weight reduction of the fixtures by installing the power supply unit inside the electrical room and supplying power to the lighting fixtures in the tunnel with direct current. Conventional products had the power supply unit within the fixture itself, but this product does not have a power supply unit inside the fixture, allowing for miniaturization and significantly reducing installation work. Additionally, by consolidating the power supply unit in the electrical room, maintenance has been simplified. The direct current-powered tunnel LED lighting system reduces construction costs by making the lighting fixtures ultra-compact and lightweight and using a connector system for power wiring, while installing the power supply unit in the electrical room enhances maintenance ease and safety. The direct current-powered tunnel LED lighting incorporates technologies registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's New Technology Information System (NETIS) (CG-170008) and the technology for compact and lightweight LED tunnel lighting fixtures (TH-150008). Recently, we have supplied the tunnel LED lighting system for the Kyuuzan Tunnel (downhill L=1,704m) on National Route 185, under the jurisdiction of the Hiroshima National Highway Office, Chugoku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Until now, we had experience in producing speed signs with a three-digit display (100 Km/h), but the display of 110 Km/h became the first in the country as of May 2018. The development of the display board, the construction of a system to show two different speed displays depending on the type, such as for ordinary vehicles and large cargo, and the need to shorten the modification time for already delivered control machines were necessary. In addition to the development of new products, we were also recognized for completing the construction without accidents and without delays in a short period, and we received a letter of appreciation from Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited.
