The battery-less model "TA2C-NF8BL" of the Android tablet equipped with an NFC reader/writer on the display surface will be released in November 2024.

We will start accepting orders for the battery-less commercial 10.1-inch Android tablet "TA2C-NF8BL," specialized for constant power supply applications such as embedded and stationary use, starting from November 2024. The TA2C-NF8BL is a sibling model to the "TA2C-NF8," which will be released in October 2024 and features an NFC reader/writer for business applications, but is a battery-less model.
By eliminating the battery, it is tailored for stationary and embedded applications. There is no need for battery replacement, which is a consumable item, allowing for low-cost long-term operation. It also comes with preset functions such as automatically turning the tablet on in conjunction with AC power supply and automatically launching the browser when powered on, reducing daily operational burdens.
Furthermore, compared to battery-equipped models, it has a wider usable temperature range (-10°C to 60°C*), making it suitable for environments where the use of tablets or PCs was previously difficult, such as TTO terminals in barbecue restaurants, signage near frozen cases, and management terminals in cold storage warehouses, enabling IT integration and labor-saving solutions.
*Usable at surrounding humidity below 50% and for a few hours a day. Camera operation may stop at surrounding temperatures above approximately 50°C (internal temperature 55°C).
