Rapid analysis of metal and inorganic foreign substances such as metal pieces, rust, and plated products! We understand the shape and composition (elements) of foreign substances using SEM-EDX and investigate the causes.

We would like to introduce our "Food Foreign Substance Analysis - Inorganic Samples." As part of the testing, we first conduct visual and optical microscope observations. When a sample is considered to be inorganic, analysis using SEM-EDX is effective. SEM-EDX is a device that combines a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), allowing for elemental analysis of samples observed with the electron microscope. Identification of components using EDX enables the acquisition of mapping images of the measured elements, making it possible to understand the shape and distribution of components (elements) of the foreign substance. Material development is underway to suppress the formation of biofilms!

We would like to introduce our "Biofilm Formation Suppression Evaluation Method on Substrates," which is part of our biofilm-related analysis. To evaluate the suppression of biofilm formation, the substrate is first immersed in a bacterial culture solution to allow biofilm formation. The formed biofilm is then stained with crystal violet (CV), after which the CV is extracted with an extraction solution, and the absorbance is measured. This is compared to the biofilm formation amount on a standard substrate. 【Analysis Method】 1. Immerse the substrate in a bacterial culture solution and incubate at a constant temperature for 24 to 48 hours. 2. Rinse the substrate with water and stain the formed biofilm with crystal violet. 3. Extract the crystal violet and measure the absorbance at 590 nm. 4. They can be used for temporary roads, access routes, heavy machinery entry paths, and measures against muddy conditions, creating a driving environment that takes advantage of the unique surface characteristics of wood. The 5×10 board weighs approximately 230 kg, and the 5×20 board weighs about 460 kg, making them lightweight and easy to install and remove even with small machinery, which is a notable feature for maneuverability in narrow sites. Metal cracks are one of the concerns in equipment maintenance operations. Repairs using conventional welding methods can alter the base material around the crack due to heat, leading to residual stress and deformation, which always carries the risk of "crack recurrence" or "secondary damage." Hinode Waterworks Equipment Co., Ltd.'s "Mechanical Stitching Method" is a new technique that allows for the repair of metal cracks without applying heat.
