The SILBIO series is a new paper packaging material that serves as an alternative to plastic film. Since it uses more than 51% paper material, it is eligible for the paper mark. - SILBIO BARRIER A barrier coating layer has been applied to the paper. - SILBIO ALBA Aluminum vapor deposition has been applied to the paper, achieving high barrier properties and opacity. - SILBIO CLEAR In addition to barrier properties, it features visibility of the contents. - SILBIO EZ SEAL It is specialized for easy heat sealing functionality. *Please note that it does not have barrier properties.

It is a non-fluorinated oil-resistant paper that does not use organic fluorine compounds (PFAS).

Thanks to the coating technology of the Prince Group, oil resistance has been achieved with paper materials. It is a "non-fluorinated oil-resistant paper" that does not use organic fluorine compounds (PFAS), which raise concerns about their impact on the environment and health.

It is a natural-derived high-performance additive that has functions such as high viscosity and high transparency, which are superior to conventional additives that do not exist in traditional products.

"AUROVISCO" is a water dispersion of ultra-fine wood fiber cellulose nanofiber (CNF) with a fiber width of 3nm. By adding a small amount to water-based liquid agents, the following outstanding functions are expected to be imparted. <Functions> - High transparency - High viscosity - dispersion stability - Water retention - Coating stability function - Thixotropy <Applications> - Thickening and dispersing agents for paints and inks: dispersion stability of pigments and additives / coating film stability - Cleaning and disinfectant solutions: dispersion of abrasives, etc., and coating film stability after application of liquid agents - Ceramic products such as concrete: reinforcing effect for ceramic products *The Oji Group has adopted the "phosphate esterification method" as an effective technique to reduce the energy required for fine processing during manufacturing. This method has enabled the production of high-quality (high transparency, high viscosity, thixotropic) cellulose nanofibers with higher production efficiency compared to conventional methods. In 2017, the cellulose nanofiber production facility began operation at the Oji Paper Tomioka Plant.

The cellulose nanofiber transparent sheet "AUROVEIL" boasts glass-like transparency and dimensional stability while being made from wood-based materials. Additionally, it features high strength, high elasticity, and good flexibility. ■ Features of "AUROVEIL" - High transparency / High strength / High elasticity / Flexibility / High dimensional stability - Biomass content: Approximately 80% (This depends on the required functions and specifications, so please contact us for details) ■ Composite Cellulose Nanofiber Sheet We have established a technology to combine cellulose nanofiber sheets (AUROVEIL) with resins such as "polycarbonate" and "acrylic." This environmentally friendly composite material reduces the use of petrochemical and plastic materials while leveraging the characteristics of each material. * "Cellulose nanofiber" refers to fibers that have been finely disassembled to the nano level (one millionth of a millimeter) from cellulose, the main component of wood. It is said to be a "dream new material" that is one-fifth the weight of steel yet possesses more than five times its strength. Being plant-based, it is also gaining attention as a sustainable resource.

New rubber products for the carbon-neutral era. Natural rubber × natural materials: cellulose nanofiber rubber composite CNF masterbatch.

This is a rubber composite masterbatch that combines unique phosphoric esterified CNF and natural rubber. Even with a small amount of addition, it improves elasticity and provides excellent strength and elongation, making it an environmentally friendly material expected to reduce the amount of carbon black derived from petroleum. <Features> Biomass Material... By replacing carbon black, the ratio of natural materials increases. Functional Improvement... Hardness and elongation comparable to or exceeding that of carbon black. Energy Saving and Durability... Increased strength and other effects are expected to enhance durability. Design Flexibility... The milky white masterbatch allows for colorful variations to be considered. Customization... Lineup - Palplus: A composite pellet of recycled PP and cellulose generated within the Oji Group. - Resoil Green: A composite pellet of biodegradable resin Bio PBS and cellulose. It is biodegradable and suitable for food contact. - Toughcell: A high-impact resistant grade utilizing technology to uniformly disperse Oji Group's unique cellulose fibers.

A lightweight and strong reduced plastic material reinforced with cellulose (pulp) fibers.

This is a non-woven fabric manufactured using the TDS (Totally Dry System) method. Because cellulose (pulp) fibers and polyolefin fibers are evenly dispersed, it becomes a cellulose resin molded body that combines rigidity and impact resistance through thermal processing. With over 50% pulp content, it is an environmentally friendly molding material aimed at reducing plastic usage and decreasing CO2 emissions derived from petroleum. It has the potential to replace fiberglass and other plant-based fibers (such as kenaf). Before processing, it is a low-density, soft mat, allowing it to be molded into three-dimensional shapes with contours. In addition to pulp, it is also possible to mix unused biomass such as tea cake and shell powder, as well as functional by-products.

Reduced plastic material (injection molding pellets) reinforced with cellulose fibers.

This is an injection molding pellet that uniformly disperses plant-derived cellulose fibers and polyolefin-based resins using proprietary technology. Through injection molding processing, it becomes a cellulose resin molded body that balances rigidity and impact resistance, contributing to the reduction of petroleum-derived plastic usage. As indicated by its high whiteness, there is minimal damage to the cellulose fibers from heat, allowing for the incorporation of functions that fully utilize the properties of cellulose. When combined with colored pellets, the potential for colorful reduced-plastic products expands. Due to its very high impact resistance, it is expected to be applicable to various components, including automotive interiors.
