The zero-energy cooling technology SPACECOOL, which releases heat into space, has won the 2025 Energy Conservation Award.
SPACECOOL Co., Ltd. has developed, manufactured, and sold a radiative cooling material called "SPACECOOL," which has recently won the "2025 Energy Conservation Grand Prize (Product and Business Model Category)" organized by the Energy Conservation Center, Japan.
The award ceremony will be held on January 28, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight, attended by Mr. Toshiyuki Ochi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Mr. Makoto Kaiwa, Chairman of the Energy Conservation Center, where the winners will be honored.
Our radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL" is gaining attention as a new carbon-neutral technology that suppresses the rise in indoor and equipment temperatures without using any external power by applying it to building roofs and outdoor infrastructure that are easily affected by direct sunlight, contributing to the reduction of air conditioning energy. This award is believed to recognize not only the energy-saving properties of SPACECOOL but also its durability and the successful mass production that facilitates its market penetration.
Moving forward, our company aims to further promote SPACECOOL in the global market toward the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
