[Seminar] Practical Responses to Individuals with Mental Health Issues
[Instructor]
Koichi Sato, Representative Employee / Certified Social Insurance Labor Consultant, HR Plus Social Insurance Labor Consultant Corporation
[Overview (Objective)]
Recently, there has been an increase in employees experiencing mental health issues, and HR personnel and managers are overwhelmed with the need to address these situations. Many of these issues stem from personal illnesses, but there has also been a rise in claims for workers' compensation, with the number of benefit decisions remaining high in recent years. In this context, measures against harassment and excessive labor, which affect mental health, are being addressed through the revision of the "Criteria for Recognizing Mental Disorders Due to Psychological Stress" and the Labor Safety and Health Act.
This seminar will comprehensively and clearly explain the basics of laws related to mental health, taking into account the latest legal trends and challenges, as well as practical points that HR personnel and managers should know when dealing with employees experiencing mental health issues.
