[Key Lecture Content]
As the water supply business faces serious issues such as declining revenue due to population decrease, aging water supply and sewage facilities, and a shortage of human resources, ensuring sustainability under the traditional system is becoming extremely difficult.
In this lecture, we will organize the challenges faced by water supply entities and introduce examples of entities that are proactively engaging in digital transformation (DX) as promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. We will discuss the necessity of promoting DX, the challenges that may arise during its implementation, and provide specific points on how to proceed.
Additionally, we will present key points for continuous digital utilization, along with a future vision considering regionalization and shared system use, and introduce the direction of reforms aimed at sustainable water supply operations.
