[Key Lecture Content]
With the development of the electricity trading market and various subsidy measures, a rush to introduce grid-scale battery systems has begun. The introduction of such large-scale battery systems has been led by overseas initiatives, and the challenges and insights gained are reflected in the latest international standards (IEC standards). In Japan, the spread of battery systems has also led to a succession of the establishment and issuance of domestic industrial standards (JIS standards) and various guidelines. Here, the aim is to update essential knowledge related to improving equipment operational efficiency and ensuring safety from the introduction to the operation of battery systems through explanations of four latest standards and guidelines directly handled by the instructor.
