[Seminar] Survival Strategies of Chinese Tech Companies in the Era of Physical AI
[Lecturer]
Professor Toshihiko Okano, Faculty of Business Administration, Osaka University of Economics and Law
[Key Lecture Content]
The development of generative AI is significantly changing the structure of digital competition. The main battleground is shifting from smartphones to "physical AI" such as autonomous driving and robotics, and the era is one where competitiveness is determined by "the speed of learning and the frequency of improvements" in real environments.
In this context, Chinese tech companies are accelerating the construction of AI learning loops, or "AI ecosystems," that span both internal and external environments. Based on the Nikkei Cross Tech series "Chinese Tech: Survival Strategies in the Era of Physical AI," this lecture will analyze the initiatives of representative Chinese tech companies as case studies, presenting trends in digital management in the era of physical AI and insights for Japanese companies.
