SPACECOOL begins a demonstration experiment for public-private co-creation heat mitigation measures at "Shinagawa City Lab" - verifying effectiveness in Oi Nursery and events within Shinagawa Ward.
SPACECOOL Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that, in collaboration with Shinagawa Ward, we have commenced a demonstration test for heat countermeasures utilizing our radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL," which achieves zero-energy cooling by dissipating heat into space, starting from August 28.
This project is being conducted using the "Shinagawa City Lab," an open innovation framework that connects businesses with Shinagawa Ward to address social issues.
In the demonstration experiment, we aim to verify the effectiveness of improving user comfort and reducing the risk of heatstroke through trial installations at Oi Nursery School and the use of tents at local events, with the goal of acquiring new insights for building a heat-resilient city.
- About the heat countermeasure demonstration experiment
In this demonstration experiment, we will conduct a trial installation of SPACECOOL on the rooftop of Oi Nursery School to verify the surface temperature reduction effects and the impact on the facility environment. Additionally, we will also examine the energy-saving effects of installations around air conditioning equipment.
Through this demonstration experiment, we will verify the effectiveness and potential applications of SPACECOOL, accumulating knowledge aimed at creating an urban environment where residents can live safely and comfortably.
