"Ionis Coat/SK" is an environmentally friendly surface treatment with high corrosion resistance, electrolysis prevention, and self-repairing properties. It can exhibit corrosion resistance superior to that of electroplating, paint-based treatments, and hot-dip galvanizing. It prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals and significantly reduces electrolysis on galvanized steel sheets and aluminum materials. The main component of the topcoat, silica, has high water solubility, allowing it to dissolve into scratches and cover them, enhancing corrosion resistance (it is strong against scratches due to its self-repairing properties).
