The SFP method is a high surface roughness all-shear processing achieved with overwhelming mold technology and mold precision, such as "stress dispersion" and "LAP technology," using general press machines. It proposes a new possibility for pressing in thick plate punching. By changing rough processing before quenching and tempering to press punching, significant lead time reduction can be expected. The SFP method allows for drilling 8φ holes in 12mm plates.
