A spray application device that can apply the coating material without stringing (non-stringing) in its original liquid form.
A spray application device that allows for the application of undiluted coating material without causing stringing phenomena.
When using a solvent-based adhesive material with a high molecular weight at a high concentration, the coating liquid that comes out of the nozzle at the tip of the spray gun does not become mist-like but instead takes on a thread-like appearance (stringiness). The causes include insufficient dissolving power of the diluent thinner in the coating liquid and a rapid evaporation rate of the solvent after spraying. This phenomenon is particularly likely to occur when the nozzle diameter of the spray gun is small. The spray application device developed this time provides a spray application system that is less prone to stringiness and clogging, even when using high-viscosity liquid coating materials such as concentrated solutions. This spray application device consists of a spray gun equipped with an outlet that atomizes the liquid coating material and a generator that supplies solvent mist fog air. (Patent pending) This application device sprays the coating material discharged from the spray gun using solvent mist fog air, which atomizes the coating material during the process. Therefore, even when using a high-viscosity concentrated solution as the liquid coating material, the mist fog air of this device can prevent the occurrence of stringiness in advance.

basic information
Due to the mist fog air, although the liquid coating material is slightly diluted, the sprayed coating material still maintains a high viscosity. Therefore, when applied to a surface with irregularities, issues such as dripping and flowing can be avoided, allowing for a thicker film to be maintained and reducing the likelihood of nozzle clogging. By mixing a mist fogged solvent with regular atomizing air, the minimum amount of solvent needed is significantly reduced. Additionally, the drying speed of the adhered coating after application is accelerated, resulting in a shorter drying time compared to conventional methods. For example, when spraying a solvent-containing moisture-proof insulating material (Conformal Coating) onto a printed circuit board, if a sufficiently soluble diluent is not used to dilute the moisture-proof insulating material's concentrate by an equivalent amount or more, stringing (stringiness) will occur. When applying solvent-containing acrylic or rubber-based moisture-proof materials, using air spray or airless spray without a weight ratio of approximately 1:1 for angel hair prevention will result in the occurrence of angel hair. However, by using this spray application device, the amount of mist fog generated when applying the concentrate can be achieved with less than 20% usage compared to the concentrate.

Detailed information
-
What is stringing? When applying acrylic-based or rubber-based paints, adhesives, and functional materials with a spray gun, if the viscosity of the applied liquid is high, the sprayed liquid will come out in a string-like form from the spray gun without being atomized. This is commonly referred to as the stringing phenomenon (Generation of Angel Hair).
