Rigid PVC sheets possess high processability and functionality as a general-purpose resin. 1. They have high flame retardancy and are difficult to ignite. 2. They excel in electrical insulation and do not conduct electricity. 3. They have excellent chemical resistance (especially to acids and alkalis) but are weak against organic solvents. 4. They are inexpensive and have excellent secondary processing capabilities (such as vacuum forming, cutting, punching, printing, and bonding). 5. Various types of sheets can be produced by adjusting the formulation, such as sheets with high heat resistance, sheets with strong impact resistance, and matte sheets that do not regain gloss after thermal forming. 6. They are weak in heat resistance; deformation of molded products begins when heated above 60°C, and softening of the material itself starts when exceeding 80°C.
