"Zero Whisker S Plating" is a zinc plating process that does not generate zinc whiskers. When the internal stress in the plating film exceeds 40 MPa, whiskers occur; however, this product achieves an internal stress of about 10 MPa, preventing the formation of zinc whiskers. Due to its good gloss, it is also suitable for surface materials that require aesthetic appeal. Aside from being plated under specific conditions, it is identical to standard zinc plating. Therefore, its general performance and cost are almost equivalent to those of standard zinc plating.
