FORC Photonics is an independent venture company from the Russian Academy (FORC RAS).
Based on the innovative technology of Yb double-clad Er-doped fiber, the DC_EDFA35/125 series offers an unprecedented high level of nonlinear threshold. Typical specifications of the gain fiber: MFD: ~25μm, length: ~6 meters. According to demonstrations showing >1mJ@100ns and >600nJ@sub-ps (after compression from 60ps pulses), the DC_EDFA35/125 is capable of creating a 1.5-micron light source in terms of peak output of Yb-doped fiber lasers. With a pump power of 40W (@976nm) and a standard configuration laser, the DC_EDFA35/125 can produce a light source with an average output of over 5W (@1550–1600nm).
