This is an introduction to Kōei Techno System's "Rod-Type Frame Thermal Spraying (Locaid)," which focuses on the repair, regeneration, extension of life, and maintenance of parts, aiming for high-quality parts, wear resistance, heat resistance, and anti-corrosion, similar to preventive medicine, through advanced research and development of machinery. Although it is a type of frame thermal spraying, it continuously supplies rod-shaped oxide ceramics processed to a diameter of 4.7 to 6.0 mm into an oxygen-acetylene flame for melting, followed by atomization and projection using compressed air to form a coating. Oxide ceramics such as aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, and chromium oxide are sprayed.
