Measures against hot spots of casting skin roughness and casting defects | Important runner design in casting
Introducing the locations of hot spots you want to know about! Explaining hot spots that occur in L-shaped cross-sections, etc.
A hotspot refers to a location where the heat of molten metal concentrates due to the shape of the cavity in the mold. If no measures are taken, the molten metal may come into direct contact and roughen the casting surface, and as a result of concentrated heat, directional solidification may not be achieved, leading to the formation of shrinkage cavities within the casting. Since hotspots are closely related to the turbulence of molten metal, the measures to prevent them are similar to those for the flow path design. However, this column will provide an explanation focused on hotspots. Please take a moment to read it. Company information
Our company, established in 1960, was the first in Japan to develop and sell domestically produced casting machines for jewelry, making us the longest-established casting machine manufacturer in the country. Currently, we manufacture and sell both analog and digital devices for melting and casting various metals and alloys, not only for the jewelry industry but also for companies in all sectors. We do not just sell products; we provide technology. We propose the most suitable casting machines while listening to what our customers want to create, and we also offer customization based on their requests and suggestions for consumable materials that match their products. After purchase, we support our customers to ensure they can create products that align with their vision under our technical guidance. Additionally, we are focusing on proposals for casting production using 3D printers and low-cost prototyping technologies, contributing to the future of "Japanese manufacturing."
