"GEMAMS" is a collision detection system that detects collisions during the autonomous operation of machine tools and robots using connected acceleration sensors. If the limit of a hard stop (such as an emergency stop) is exceeded, a stop signal is issued within 1 millisecond. This allows for the avoidance or minimization of damage to the machinery.
