Miniaturizable reflective absolute single-turn surface mount QFN package with configurable resolution of up to 25 bits.

The AR25 series is a compact absolute encoder ASIC designed to meet the growing demand for applications with space constraints. The AR25 encoder is a one-chip solution that can flexibly accommodate a range of overall diameters from 30mm to 60mm. The AR25 also supports through-hole solutions with a diameter of up to 30mm. The AR25 offers user-programmable single-turn absolute output with a resolution ranging from 15 bits to a maximum of 25 bits. Additionally, it provides differential analog sine/cosine or digital incremental ABI, UVW signals with configurable CPR and pole pairs. It also features advanced automatic calibration capabilities to facilitate integration into the customer's end system. The AR25 series also supports integration with Broadcom's proprietary battery-less energy harvesting multi-turn (EHMT) solution. Through a dedicated MT interface port, it supports other multi-turn solutions such as gear-based and battery backup systems.
