[Pig Cleaning/Pig System Implementation Case] Wastewater Transfer Piping/Lubricating Oil Receiving Piping

We would like to introduce examples of the implementation of pig cleaning/pig systems at our company. In the case of introducing pig cleaning to a 150A wastewater transfer pipeline, there were challenges such as difficulty in segmented cleaning due to the long-distance piping and prolonged wastewater treatment time due to decreased flow rate. However, the flow rate recovered from 56m³/h to 72m³/h due to reduced pressure loss. In the case of introducing a pig system to the lubricating oil receiving pipeline, there were challenges such as the difficulty of recovery using nitrogen blow due to the high viscosity of the oil. Nevertheless, we were able to recover 95% of the pipeline volume in a short time during a single residual oil recovery operation.
