Preventing the formalization of point-and-call! Examples of habitualization through videos and animation.

basic information

Proposal for a Solution: Video Education Driven by Visuals and Habits To transform the state of "knowing but not doing" regarding guideline confirmation into "doing it as a matter of course," an educational solution using animated videos has been introduced. **Emphasizing the Meaning of Guideline Confirmation Visually** The video recreates actual workplace scenarios and clearly presents the mistakes that could occur if guidelines are not followed. It helps viewers understand the dangers visually and adds meaning to the actions required. **Learning in Story Format** Using animation to depict accidents that could threaten lives due to sloppy guidelines, the education is designed to resonate emotionally with workers, making it more memorable. **Short Electronic Videos Aimed at Habit Formation** Short videos, around 5 minutes each, are created to maintain frequent engagement. Regular maintenance ensures that these videos are watched consistently, supporting the formation of habits.

Applications/Examples of results

Introduction of success stories: Reduction in guidance errors and improvement in compliance rate of rule items. In the supplementary organization within the factory, prior to the introduction of video education, there were many instances of "pretending to guide," leading to a higher occurrence of accidents caused by guidance errors and forgetfulness. After incorporating short electronic videos that combined on-site imagery with animations, the results were: ● A 38% reduction in guidance errors after 3 months. ● Guidance forgetfulness dropped to less than half of the previous level after 6 months. ● The compliance rate improved to 86% after 1 year. The established guidance flow has become a part of the culture.
