Due to its relatively small molecular weight, it easily penetrates the stratum corneum and forms a uniform film on the skin surface, preventing dryness and leading to soft and smooth skin. Additionally, due to the properties of the acetyl groups, its moisture retention capacity is said to be about twice that of typical hyaluronic acid, providing excellent moisture longevity.
