The 7th Basic Energy Plan also indicates expectations for battery storage to enhance the role of renewable energy as a primary power source and to further utilize the Feed-in Premium (FIP) system. In this lecture, we will explain the regulations related to the development of battery storage projects, as well as the business models of battery storage projects (merchant, long-term decarbonization power source auctions, and tolling), and the challenges related to project finance structuring in each case.
