We would like to introduce a case where the surface condition was optimized by applying a special peening process that results in minimal surface roughness changes on steel materials. In this case, early galling occurred due to adhesion of the workpiece in a metal press mold subjected to high surface pressure, leading to an increase in the defect rate of product panels. To address this, we applied our nitriding and coating to the metal press mold used for forming high-strength steel. By further combining this with a special peening process, we achieved over eight times the lifespan.
