Pure sericin is a high-purity protein derived from silk cocoons. By adding approximately 0.01 to 0.5 wt% to your complete culture medium, it can be used as a supporting factor (booster) to support cell proliferation and viability. Since it is insufficient as a nutrient on its own, it is intended to be used in conjunction with other medium components. In the culture of hybridoma cells, we have confirmed cell proliferation and antibody production enhancement effects similar to those of FBS (fetal bovine serum) with significant lot variability (in collaboration with Fukui University). It is free from mammalian-derived components, allowing for stable supply with minimal lot variation.
