Pure sericin is a high-purity protein derived from silk cocoons. In a heat stress test at 60°C for 1 hour, while the industry-standard BSA significantly loses activity, it has been confirmed that the addition of pure sericin maintains almost all of its activity (Patent No. 5022673). It can be used as an additive to improve the storage stability of diagnostic reagents and enzyme preparations. *The detailed usage method, such as whether it is used alone or in combination with other components, is currently under review, so please contact us first. It is free from mammalian-derived components and can be supplied stably with minimal lot variation.

By adding approximately 0.01 to 0.5 wt% to your complete culture medium, it can be used as a supporting factor (booster) to support cell proliferation and viability. Since it is insufficient as a nutrient on its own, it is intended to be used in conjunction with other medium components. In the culture of hybridoma cells, we have confirmed cell proliferation and antibody production enhancement effects similar to those of FBS (fetal bovine serum) with significant lot variability (in collaboration with Fukui University). It is free from mammalian-derived components, allowing for stable supply with minimal lot variation.
