[Experiment Report] Emission of Ultra-Lightweight Silica | Complete Emission of Powder with Bulk Density of 0.16
MONOVATE
Silica, which had almost zero emissions, is now almost fully emitted. Emission experiment of lightweight fine powder.
"Even when the valve is opened, the powder does not come out" — especially lightweight and fluffy fine powders may not start moving within the hopper, causing discharge to stop. In this report, we conducted experiments using silica with a bulk density of 0.16 kg/L to see if we could truly improve discharge with an aeration hopper. The results showed that silica, which had "almost zero discharge" when the valve was simply opened, achieved "almost complete discharge" with the aeration hopper. We also discuss why it did not come out despite being "flowable," along with symptoms worth testing.
