Precision four-way cutting with a water jet and artisan hand-bonding techniques!
We would like to introduce a processing case of a massive "fabric-reinforced NBR gasket" with an outer diameter of φ1156, which was implemented at the connection flange of plant piping and large containers. Due to its large diameter size, which greatly exceeds the standard width of rubber sheets, it is physically impossible to cut it out as a single piece from the material. Therefore, our company adopted a "bonded joint processing" method, where we used a water jet cutting machine to accurately cut the material into four arc-shaped pieces, which were then finished into a ring shape through precise bonding by skilled craftsmen. This dramatically reduced material loss while stably achieving the production of 28 pieces in a medium lot size with no deviation in the position pitch of P1073 and 20 bolt holes of φ23.
