Placing cosmetics on the market under your own name requires a cosmetics marketing authorization holder license. You appoint a general marketing compliance officer, a quality assurance manager and a safety management manager, prepare GQP and GVP procedures, apply, and undergo an on-site inspection by the prefecture. If requirements are met, one person may hold all three roles. The license is valid for five years, with an on-site inspection at each renewal. In Osaka Prefecture, a new license carries an application fee of 58,800 yen in addition to our fee.
