Long-distance wireless transmission of contacts is possible via sub-gigahertz wireless.
The LA-5T2S-SG is a digital I/O unit that, despite its compact size, features five open collector transistor outputs isolated by a photocoupler and two photocoupler-isolated inputs. It is equipped not only for standard input monitoring but also with a pulse counting function. It allows for remote monitoring of the LA-5T2S-SG located at a distance via a gateway device from a computer, and can be used in pairs with corresponding LANIO-SG series devices to output wirelessly transmitted contact information. It can operate without being aware of the constraints of communication speed and transfer pause time under the SUB-GHz wireless standard, enabling control and monitoring signals to be transmitted up to 2 km in high-speed mode and up to 7 km in long-distance mode.

Applications/Examples of results
■Long-distance extension and optimal for distributed placement By utilizing sub-giga wireless communication in the 920MHz band, long-distance communication exceeding 1km is achieved. This allows for long-distance point extension that was not possible with the conventional wireless LAN IO series. The palm-sized compact housing, specialized for small-scale control applications, is also ideal for remote control applications where the control targets are dispersed over a wide area and the required number of points per location is not high. ■PC-less input extension function using sub-giga wireless By connecting oppositely through sub-giga wireless, the signal state of the input unit can be extended as the state of the output terminals of the connected output unit without using a computer. ■Ability to develop unique control systems Input/output function libraries for C++ and C# languages, as well as sample programs with source code, are provided, allowing for the rapid development of unique control systems that can interface with other software running on a PC.
