Contec has developed an expansion box for PC expansion slots (6 models) and will begin accepting orders for the new series of PC measurement and control I/O expansion chassis, "Bus Extension Method PCI Bus Expansion Chassis ECH-PCI-BE3 Series" (hereinafter referred to as the new product) starting in August 2023. The new product is an expansion chassis that allows for the addition of PCI bus (5V/32bit 33MHz) slots to a PC. The PC and this expansion chassis are connected via a separately sold expansion bus adapter (EAD(PCI), EAD(LPCI)BE, EAD-BE-LPE). There are two types of chassis available: one for short size and one for long size. The short size chassis can accommodate up to 7 PCI boards, while the long size chassis can accommodate up to 13 PCI boards. Additionally, it can turn the power ON/OFF in conjunction with the PC, and it features a steel chassis with a built-in cooling fan, making it suitable for use in the field.

High-performance slim tower business computer "LPC-1800 Series" now available.
Contec has developed the "LPC-1800 series (hereinafter referred to as the new product)," a high-performance slim tower business computer equipped with the 13th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processor, known for its excellent expandability. Orders will begin on April 16, 2025. The new product features a compact design (width 330mm, depth 399mm, height 96mm) that can be installed in limited spaces, while being a business computer that adopts the high-performance Intel Q670 chipset. Despite maintaining the same external dimensions as the current LPC-1700 series, CPU performance has improved by approximately 2.8 times. (*1) To allow customers to choose the optimal specifications based on their applications and budgets, we have adopted a BTO (Build To Order) method that allows for free configuration by selecting components such as CPU, memory capacity, and storage from a menu, accepting orders from just one unit. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is also planned for future support. *1 Based on a comparison of PassMark values between the previous product LPC-1700 "Core(TM) i5-8500T" and the new product LPC-1800 "Core(TM) i5-13500TE."

Contec Co., Ltd. has developed an industrial edge AI computer equipped with a GPU board optimized for edge AI/HPC, named the "EPC-C5000A series." Starting from late April 2023, it will be available for order in a BTO (Build-To-Order) format, allowing customers to select components based on their specific applications. The new product features a model equipped with the NVIDIA GPU board RTX A2000 12GB included in the BTO menu. Customers can choose from options such as the 10th generation Intel(R) Xeon W-1290TE, Core i7-10700TE, or Core i5-10500TE, and the operating system is Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC, which will receive Microsoft extended support until January 2032. Additionally, the design of the chassis takes into account the routing of the AC cable to prevent interference with walls and equipment, making it suitable for installation in confined spaces or within devices.

Contec has developed a high-power fanless embedded PC that expands the operating temperature range by up to 40% with a new heat dissipation technology, and began accepting orders for it as "Box Computer® BX-M2510" from January 2023. The new product is an embedded computer compatible with the 9th generation Intel® Core™ desktop processors. The top model is equipped with the Xeon® processor E-2278GEL. With the newly developed heat dissipation technology, the operating temperature range has been expanded from 0-50°C to -10-60°C (+20%) while maintaining the same width and depth dimensions as previous products, and by attaching an optional fan unit, it can be further expanded from 0-50°C to -10-70°C (+40%). There is a growing demand to process high-load tasks such as AI, AR, and image recognition on edge devices, leading to a need for high-spec computers for embedded applications. However, challenges have arisen, such as failures caused by heat when embedded in devices, or costs incurred for special thermal countermeasures to prevent such issues. This product allows for the integration of the necessary computer functions for advanced edge processing into devices without the need for special thermal measures.

Contec has developed the 4G LTE module "CPSN-COM-1GM1" as a new product in the CONPROSYS nano series, a remote I/O system that pursues cost performance and ease of use for the IoT era, and has started accepting orders from May 18, 2023. The new product is an I/O module that adds 4G LTE communication functionality to the programmable remote I/O coupler unit (CPSN-PCB271-S1-041) of the CONPROSYS nano series, which is equipped with a CODESYS runtime compliant with IEC 61131-3. By adopting the wireless communication standard Cat. M1 for IoT devices and implementing it in the expansion slot of the coupler unit, it enables the transmission of collected data from remote locations for applications such as equipment monitoring. It is also easy to connect with our web HMI/SCADA software, CONPROSYS HMI System (CHS), which allows for the easy construction and operation of monitoring and management systems for plants and production processes. Additionally, for integration with cloud services such as AWS and Azure, it is possible to use the HTTP request functions provided by Contec, which are available in the CODESYS integrated development environment.

Contec Co., Ltd. has developed a PCI Express bus-compliant interface board equipped with high-speed, high-precision multi-channel analog input functions and has begun selling it as part of the PC measurement and control PC-HELPER series, specifically the "Analog G Series." The new product is a multifunctional interface board that, in addition to analog input, features 2 channels of analog output, 16 points of digital input/output, and 2 channels of 32-bit counters. It enables the realization of measurement and control systems that require diverse signal input and output in a compact and reasonably priced manner. The DMA bus master transfer function included in the new product allows for long-duration continuous sampling while maintaining the device's maximum conversion speed. The event controller integrated into the new product manages the trigger/clock/status of each signal input/output in a unified manner, enabling synchronization control of signal input/output at the hardware level, which is difficult to achieve at the software level. Additionally, up to 16 devices can be connected to the synchronization connector on the board using a dedicated cable, allowing for synchronized operation via the event controller. This makes it ideal for applications requiring low latency and real-time performance, such as factory automation and mixed signal testing.
