Daisan Co., Ltd. recently showcased the three-phase 200V inverter (9.9kVA) "iGen.10000LF" at the "Toyota L&F Chubu Tokai Comprehensive Center Grand Opening Fair," receiving a very positive response as a BCP measure and emergency power source for businesses. On the day of the event, we conducted a live demonstration in which we powered a large industrial spot cooler (three-phase 200V) using the iGen.10000LF connected to the battery of an electric forklift (DC48V). Customers particularly praised us for the following points: • Completely maintenance-free: Prevents the trouble of "not working" in case of emergencies, eliminating the hassle and cost of maintenance. • No need for fuel storage: There is no risk of storing hazardous materials like gasoline or diesel, and no need to worry about fuel degradation. • Effective use of existing assets: Electric forklifts available in factories or warehouses can be utilized as high-capacity emergency power sources. It offers output capacities in three types: 750W, 1500W, and 3300W, with the addition of two new types of 2400W and 5000W. With a maximum voltage range from 6V to 800V, it features a wide variety of 60 models, making it a flexible solution for systems requiring reliability testing, durability testing, aging, and semiconductor burn-in for electronic components and automotive electrical equipment. Guide to Linear Encoders Due to the discontinuation of the Keyence "VP-90," Makome Laboratory is proposing replacement products. As a replacement for the Keyence "VP-90," Makome Laboratory recommends the magnetic linear encoder "SI-140" system. The "SI-140" system utilizes magnetism to measure a scale that is magnetized alternately and evenly with N and S poles, in a non-contact manner. Because it uses magnetism, it can measure lengths without being affected by non-magnetic materials. The head has a protection structure rated IP67 (compliant with IEC standards). The output is in A and B phase with a resolution of 0.1mm. When using an incremental measurement device with a 4x multiplier, it can be used at 0.025mm. The detection distance between the head and the scale is 4±3mm (1 to 7mm), allowing for some variation in distance. The output circuit is a MOS FET open-drain output, which can be extended up to 5m. Additionally, there is a separate line driver output type that can be extended up to 100m. *The MOS FET open-drain is almost equivalent to an NPN transistor output.
