(Yoshikazu Ishikawa), received the Special Award! The Grand Prize was awarded to Hirotaka Uchiki, Vice President of Fukui University and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, for his achievements in advancing basic research leading to the development of therapeutic drugs for amyloidosis, a specified intractable disease that causes conditions such as Alzheimer's disease.
