[Problem Solving Case] Adhesive film sticking to the cutting blade.
It is necessary to ensure the sharpness of the cutter while applying a non-stick treatment! Example of dry lubrication coating.
We would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving for special applications by Nippon MT Corporation. We were using non-coated products, but it was necessary to regularly remove adhesive substances, which significantly reduced productivity. Therefore, we processed with CE100C-MT. The adhesion of substances has decreased, resulting in less maintenance and replacement frequency. Additionally, the film thickness is about 2μm, allowing us to maintain sharpness. [Key Points of Problem Solving] - To make it difficult for adhesive substances to stick, Teflon coating is commonly used. - The film thickness of Teflon coating is about 20μm, so while it eliminates sticking for cutting tools, it may reduce sharpness and lead to other issues. - Generally, the processing temperature for Teflon coating is around 400°C, which can sometimes cause a decrease in the hardness of the cutting tool itself. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
