0472 Eliminate emission defects using a level gauge.

To prevent poor powder flow! We will assist you in selecting the appropriate model and layout plan based on your usage conditions.

We would like to introduce a case where a user contacted us to solve the issue of poor powder discharge by installing a paddle-type level gauge and a capacitive level gauge in a small hopper. A capacitive level sensor is installed at approximately one-third of the height from the bottom of the hopper. We recommended and implemented the installation of two Brodie disks mini near the discharge area, avoiding the sensor, and two Brodie disks above that. Afterward, we received feedback that "the bridging has been resolved and everything is running smoothly." 【Overview of Conditions】 ■ Hopper Diameter: Ø500 ■ Discharge Diameter: 100A ■ Material: Calcium Carbonate 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability due to the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone disk of our equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

0526 Bridge measures for Sic fine powder

An example of lending out the actual Brody Disk Mini and Brody Disk first at the customer's request.

This is an example used by a precision parts manufacturer, where Sic powder bridges at the bottom of the hopper, prompting your inquiry. In the case of a φ600 hopper, it is common to adopt the Brodie Disk instead of the smaller Brodie Disk Mini. However, the air volume for the Brodie Disk is significantly higher compared to the Mini. Since there was a request to minimize the air volume as much as possible, we had the customer check both the Brodie Disk Mini and the Brodie Disk in person, and decided to implement the Brodie Disk Mini, which has a lower air volume. This installation consists of 8 Brodie Disk Minis, and in this case, the air volume is less than that of 2-3 Brodie Disks. 【Usage Conditions Overview】 ■ Hopper Diameter: Approximately φ600 ■ Material: Sic powder (average particle size = several micrometers) ■ Request: To use as little air as possible *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0543 Special Case with Ceramic Powder

A special case where a rubber sheet with a diameter of approximately 180 mm is installed between the Brody disk and the inner surface of the hopper!

A customer who installed the Brodisk a few years ago has decided to adopt it again. The material is the same powder as last time. Upon checking the condition of the previous installation, it was found that the inner wall of the hopper around the Brodisk elastic disk had worn down, resulting in a mirror-like polished state. As a countermeasure for this issue, we have decided to install a rubber sheet approximately φ180 between the Brodisk and the inner surface of the hopper. While the inner surface of the hopper is as mentioned above, there were no issues with the elastic disk of the Brodisk or the shaft. 【Product Specifications】 ■ Brodisk: BD-15S-B x 4 ■ Controller: C-SV4 x 1 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0559 Attached to the hopper for resin grinding material.

We want to implement cost-effective measures due to rising costs! We will guide you on a rational arrangement of broad disks and introduce case studies of their implementation.

We would like to introduce a case regarding the installation of a "hopper for resin grinding materials" handled by Minagi Co., Ltd. The hopper for relay use comes with an agitator to prevent bridging; however, its position is not ideal, leading to the occurrence of bridging. Changing the position and shape would incur high costs, so we were consulted on how to address this issue cost-effectively. After reviewing the detailed drawings of the hopper, we provided guidance on a rational arrangement of the blow disks that would not interfere with the existing agitator. We lent out the blow disks for testing, and upon successful trials, they were implemented. [Case Summary] ■ Issue - Changing the position and shape of the agitator would incur high costs, so a cost-effective solution was sought. ■ Result - Provided guidance on a rational arrangement of blow disks, lent out blow disks, and after successful testing, they were implemented. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

0571 Solve the discharge problem from the vacuum truck tank (such as quicklime, etc.)

We recommend adopting models with a large air volume! A case where the problem was solved by a blow disc.

This is an example of a problem solved using a blow disk, based on consultations from operators using special vehicles. The vacuum vehicle discharges what it has suctioned into a flexible container, but due to the degree of tank dumping, there were cases where the powder did not fall. By installing a blow disk in the accumulation area, the problem was resolved. Since the materials being suctioned can vary, including hydrated lime and cement, we recommended adopting a model with a higher air volume. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issue - There were cases where the powder did not fall when discharging what was suctioned into the flexible container. ■ Result - Adopted the BD-20, which has a higher air volume than the standard BD-15 (due to the variety of materials including hydrated lime and cement). - Installed a blow disk in the accumulation area, resolving the issue. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solving resin pellet clogging

Effect confirmation through the lending of the main unit! A case where the Brody Disk and controller were introduced.

We adopted the 'Brodisk' because the resin pellets from waste plastic were bridging in the hopper and could not be filled into the bulk bag. Although the flowability of the material is not particularly poor, there were issues with discharge due to the gentle slope of the hopper. In cases with this level of flowability and hopper size, it is common to install one unit per side near the discharge area (a total of four units). However, in this case, due to the gentle slope of the hopper, we installed two units per side (a total of eight units). Additionally, the air ON time was set slightly longer. [Overview] ■ Material: Resin pellets Φ5×20–30 (with variations in shape and size) ■ Hopper: 1400×1400 Discharge section 250A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

At the hopper where the crushing sword mountain is installed.

Introducing a case where all four Brody disks (mini) were simultaneously turned ON/OFF! The bridge issue has been resolved.

We would like to introduce a case where we resolved a bridging issue that occurred in a feed hopper with a substance resembling flour. Due to the "gentle slope of the hopper" and "small discharge diameter," bridging occurred under the knife edge. After receiving a consultation from the user, we listened to the details and proposed a solution that was implemented. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Hopper Overview - Size: 500×500 - Discharge Diameter: Φ50 - Slope: Approximately 45° [Key Points of This Equipment] ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. We believe you will understand this once you use it! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. A dedicated controller is also available. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. *For more details, please check the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

0645 Resolving issues with the discharge of incineration ash.

Introducing a case that solved the issue of poor incineration ash discharge with 8 Brodisk standard type (BD-15) units arranged!

Here is a case study from a paper mill. We received an inquiry stating that despite installing a vibrator in the incineration ash hopper to promote flow, improvements could not be achieved. After discussing various conditions, we provided advice on the model, layout, and control to resolve the issue, which led to our solution being adopted. 【Summary of Conditions】 ■ Hopper Diameter: Φ1500 ■ Discharge Diameter: Φ250 Butterfly Valve ■ Contents: Incineration Ash (Bulk Density 0.5-0.6) ■ Previous Measures: Two Vibrators 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. Our silicone disk is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. *For more details, please check the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0660 At the foundry sand regeneration facility

Most cases, such as bridges and rat holes, can be easily resolved with this equipment!

We would like to introduce a case where "Blow Disks" were installed in a hopper (dust collector) that generates fine dust during the regeneration of foundry sand. The issue was that the fine dust easily absorbed moisture, causing bridging when stored in the dust collector hopper, making it impossible to discharge. We provided information on the arrangement and control of this equipment tailored to the customer's usage conditions, and after detailed discussions, it was implemented. The results have been excellent, with no bridging occurring at all. 【Overview of Arrangement and Control】 - A total of 8 Blow Disks (standard type BD-15) were installed, with 4 in the lower section and 4 in the upper section. The lower section was arranged in the left, right, and center, while the upper section had the 4 disks positioned towards the corners. - The 8 Blow Disks were sequentially aerated in pairs with a time delay using a controller (C-SV4) that incorporates 4 solenoid valves. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

In the storage tank of activated carbon + quicklime.

The durability of elastic disks is important! Here are examples of their adoption in exhaust gas treatment equipment.

We would like to introduce a case where our "Brodisk" has been adopted. This customer (plant) has experienced troubles with other air relators in the past and is currently using our product continuously. In exhaust gas treatment systems, many customers are using it in silos containing quicklime, activated carbon, and baking soda. Since these systems rarely have the silos emptied, the durability of the elastic disk in our equipment is crucial. [Case Overview] ■Silo Diameter: Ø2000 ■Discharge Port Diameter: Ø300 ■Hopper Inclination Angle: 67° ■Discharge Amount: Several 10 Kg/h ■Contents: Activated Carbon + Quicklime *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Solve the bridge of citrus powder 0682.

We would like to introduce a case where we received inquiries from end users in the food industry and successfully resolved their issues.

We would like to introduce a case study where our "Blow Disk" was installed. Due to variations in fruit types and processing conditions in the previous stages, particle size and moisture content changed, leading to the formation of bridges that could not be cleared by existing air knockers or hammering. As a countermeasure, we decided to adopt the Blow Disk. After the introduction of this equipment, bridges no longer occurred at all, and it was subsequently adopted for another large hopper. 【Case Overview】 - One standard Blow Disk installed on each inclined surface - A total of two Blow Disks are simultaneously operated with air ON/OFF *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

0687 Clearing blockages in the hopper of dried hop powder.

An example adopted to address expected blockages at the hopper discharge section.

We would like to introduce a case where a plant and maintenance operator ordered "Blow Disks." In the production of hoppers for a beverage manufacturer, it was anticipated that clogging might occur at the hopper discharge section based on past experiences. Therefore, at the user's request, we were consulted about adopting "Blow Disks." After detailed discussions (regarding contents, hopper diagrams, control methods, etc.), the system was implemented. Currently, the equipment is operational at the user's site, and there have been no occurrences of bridging or powder clogs. [Case Overview] ■ Hopper Diameter: Φ900 ■ Discharge Diameter: 150A ■ Contents: Dried hop powder ■ Equipment Layout Control - Four "Blow Disks" installed near the discharge section (two at different heights) - Air aeration controlled by a controller, with each disk activated in a staggered manner *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
