[Super Sol Construction Case] A2 Example of Backfill Material for Retaining Walls on Narrow Lots
This is a case of protective (retaining wall) construction on Municipal Road Hisasue No. 30 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
We would like to introduce a construction case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used as backfill for retaining walls in narrow spaces. In a road expansion project, Super Sol was used beneath the sidewalk. It was adopted as backfill material in the V-shaped narrow section (less than 1 meter) between the existing stone masonry and the retaining wall (H-shaped steel) for the purpose of reducing soil pressure. 【Construction Case Study】 ○ Project Details: City Road Hisue 30 Protection (Retaining Wall) Construction ○ Usage Category: Civil Engineering / Backfill for Structures / Retaining Wall ○ Client: Kawasaki City ○ Construction Location: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture ○ Required Performance: Lightweight, Soil Pressure Reduction, Workability ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
