When processing 4 axes at 4 locations (M4) with a tapping machine, we faced challenges such as "the setup takes too much time when machining with Fanuc for small lot production" and "only skilled workers can perform the tasks." Therefore, we conducted the tapping position layout using a general-purpose air cylinder. Previously, we relied on the intuition of skilled workers for positioning, but now even novice workers can perform the machining, reducing stress and fatigue during work. There was a circular drawing process with a height of 0.2mm at the center, which required the production of a dedicated mold. In this instance, due to the short delivery time and small quantity, as well as the relaxed precision requirements for the drawn part, we processed using a laminated mold. The "laminated mold" is created by stacking and combining sheets cut by laser to be used as a mold. It is a simple method within "simple molds" that allows for quick production.
