Full mold casting FCD540 pad press die

Casting X - A casting method using digital technology for large and small rod castings. For cost reduction, contact Tomo Steel Industry!!

FMC casting creates foam models that are the same shape as the product using expanded polystyrene, and then produces the product by embedding the foam model in a sand mold and replacing it with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and allows for the creation of complex and highly precise products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to the wooden pattern method. Cost reduction is also achievable with original (steel substitute) materials.

This is different! The quality and confidence of Arikawa Manufacturing.

As a professional in manufacturing, we provide technology, quality, and excitement to our customers.

Typically, when machining holes smaller than the plate thickness, cutting processes were generally used. At Arikawa Manufacturing, we achieve small-diameter holes up to about 60% of the plate thickness using press processing, even under conditions where the hole position is close to the edge of the plate. While it is easy to produce parts with 100% shear surfaces using the FB (Fine Blanking) technique and specialized equipment, it can be costly. Arikawa Manufacturing has made it possible to achieve 100% shear surface production in a single press operation. The "thread feeding" part, which is critical for textile machinery components, requires a high level of precision in finishing. By designing molds that consider the finishing of 100% shear surfaces and the workpiece movement during R pressing, we have achieved a smooth shape that does not break the thread when it passes through. Traditionally, thick gears could only be made through machining, but now they can be produced through pressing with a finish of 100% shear surfaces, high dimensional accuracy molds for leaf punching and holes, and precise riveting technology (core misalignment tolerance of H8 or less). For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

[Case Study] Which has more advantages, machining or pressing?

Pressing of products with complex shapes! Introduction of a case that solved customer problems.

Our company offers proposals for quality improvement and cost reduction through the transition from cutting to pressing, as well as process design for mass production. We have a track record of solving various issues for customers in industries such as industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and construction components. 【Proposal Example 1】 ■Consultation Details - At what production volume does the cost advantage of pressing become apparent? - Can pressing meet the required quality standards? ■Proposal - We recommend considering pressing for lot sizes of approximately 200 to 1000 units per month. - The product cross-section achieves a beautiful finish similar to that of machining. - The corner burrs are minimal, and the fit tolerances guarantee the required dimensions. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

[Proposal Example] Is it possible to mass-produce a large diameter ring with a diameter of 400mm made by cutting at a low cost?

Mass production of high-precision large-diameter rings! Introduction of cases that solved customer problems.

Our company offers proposals for quality improvement and cost reduction through the transition from cutting to pressing, as well as process design for mass production. We have a track record of solving various issues for customers in industries such as industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and construction components. Here are some examples of our proposals: [Proposal Example] ■Consultation Details - Production of high-precision large diameter rings - Prototypes were made using cutting processes, but the cost is too high for mass production - Is it possible to produce them at a lower cost? ■Proposal - Created a notched mold that extends teeth in the X direction - Guaranteed inner and outer diameter tolerances of ±0.2 for large diameters (Φ400.0) - Achieved 192 equal divisions (division error ±0.2) - Initial costs reduced by 56% compared to conventional machining ■Product Specifications - Material: SPHC-P - Size: Φ400.0mm × t2.3mm *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

[Method Change] Reduction of buffing process, examples of quality stabilization and improvement.

Reduction of mold costs and processes! Case study of a method change that solved customer issues.

Our company offers proposals and process design for quality improvement and cost reduction through the transition from cutting to pressing methods. We have a track record of solving various issues for customers in industries such as industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and construction components. ■ Customer's Challenge In the yarn feeding section of weaving machines (the area where the yarn and components come into contact), a buffing process is applied, but the angle of the buffing varies, leading to unstable quality. ■ Solution We shaped a smooth form through full shear processing and R-press processing, and then applied barrel processing for production. The results of a one-month running test at the customer's site were favorable. By eliminating the buffing process, we achieved the following: ◎ Lead time: Reduced by 50% ◎ Cost: Product unit price decreased by 5% We also have many other case studies available on our website. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
