Fullerene "Dream Contest Submission"
Introducing our works, which have a wealth of processing experience in complex-shaped castings across various fields!
We have a wealth of processing experience in complex-shaped castings across various fields, utilizing processing technology that is not limited by shape. Here, we introduce a work submitted to the 7th Dream Contest. We created a truncated icosahedron structure, consisting of 60 carbon atoms, inspired by fullerenes (soccer ball shape). One of the features of this work is that, by using macros without any CAD/CAM, the size of the inner sphere and the appearance can be changed with just one numerical value. 【Submission for the 7th Dream Contest】 ■ Truncated icosahedron structure (soccer ball shape) inspired by fullerenes, consisting of 60 carbon atoms ■ Material: A5052 ■ Processing time: 42 hours ■ Machine: (Custom) "OKK PCV620" with indexing, X2000, Y620, Z600 ■ Fullerene appearance: φ80mm ■ Sphere: φ28mm ■ Rib: φ2mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
