[Processing Technology] Vacuum Carburizing (Direct Carburizing)

Since there are no grain boundary oxidation or carburization irregularities on the surface layer, it is also possible for the inner surface of the pores! Quality improvement can be expected.

"Vacuum carburizing hardening" is a carburizing hardening method conducted in a vacuum furnace. Acetylene gas supplied into the furnace undergoes thermal decomposition, and the carbon generated penetrates and diffuses from the surface. In addition to the carburizing effect, there is no grain boundary oxidation or carburizing unevenness in the surface layer, making it possible for the inner surfaces of pores as well. Moreover, since it finishes with a bright luster, quality improvement can be expected compared to conventional carburizing hardening. 【Features】 ■ Carburizing hardening method conducted in a vacuum furnace ■ In addition to the carburizing effect, it allows for the inner surfaces of pores due to the absence of grain boundary oxidation and carburizing unevenness in the surface layer ■ Finishes with a bright luster ■ Quality improvement can be expected compared to conventional carburizing hardening ■ JIS processing symbol: HQV *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Adopting a processing method with minimal distortion! 【Deoxidation treatment・Carburizing quenching】

We are adopting the salt martensite quenching method and sub-zero treatment as processing methods with minimal distortion that can also be applied to thin plates and blades!

【Salt Marking Method】 Our pit-type carburizing atmosphere furnace and case-type carburizing atmosphere furnace are batch-type, allowing us to accommodate small quantities of diverse hardening processes. We offer a wide range of treatments, including deoxidation processing, carburizing hardening, as well as annealing and tempering. If you are facing difficulties with short delivery times due to differences in specifications such as steel types, carburizing depth, and base material hardness, please feel free to consult us. 【Sub-Zero Treatment】 Also known as deep cooling treatment, this process involves cooling below 0 degrees to transform residual austenite into martensite. The benefits of sub-zero treatment include (1) increased hardness, (2) prevention of distortion, and (3) improved wear resistance. It is an ideal treatment for enhancing the high added value of molds and cutting tools. *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.*

[Case Study] Improved Wear Resistance and Durability of S45C through Overall Quenching!

Introduction of case studies on extending lifespan through the change to heat treatment "salt quenching."

This is a case study that successfully extended the lifespan by changing the heat treatment method of S45C to "salt quenching." [Content] The heat treatment was changed from oil quenching to salt quenching, resulting in improved wear resistance and durability. The hardness increased from HRC 40-45 to HRC 55-60.

Why heat treatment is necessary・1

In the current automotive industry, where miniaturization and weight reduction of components are required, hardening is an indispensable technology!

We will introduce why heat treatment is necessary and the benefits of quenching. First, one benefit is that quenching allows for the miniaturization and weight reduction of parts. Even small components can achieve strength equivalent to larger parts by increasing their strength through heat treatment, enabling miniaturization and weight reduction. The second benefit is the reduction of material costs. By applying quenching, it is possible to obtain strength equivalent to that of expensive materials even when using common materials. 【Features】 - Enables miniaturization and weight reduction of parts - Achieves strength equivalent to larger parts when strength is increased through heat treatment - An indispensable technology in the current automotive industry, where miniaturization and weight reduction are required - Reduces material costs - Achieves strength equivalent to expensive materials even when using common materials *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Why heat treatment is necessary - 2

Improving cutting performance, fatigue strength, and wear resistance! Introducing the purpose of heat treatment.

We will introduce the reasons why heat treatment is necessary and the purpose of quenching. The first reason is improved sharpness. By applying quenching only to the cutting edge, the strength of the cutting edge increases. Next, there is an improvement in fatigue strength. In today's demand for lightweight components and longer product lifespans, this fatigue strength is being emphasized. Finally, there is an enhancement in wear resistance. By applying high-frequency quenching to harden the surface, we can prevent wear on components and improve wear resistance. 【Objectives】 ■ Improved sharpness ■ Improved fatigue strength ■ Enhanced wear resistance *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. ★ For inquiries by phone, please call: Osaka Headquarters → TEL: 072-991-1361 Nagoya → TEL: 052-322-1361 Tokyo → TEL: 03-5472-1361 *When calling, please mention that you saw this on "Ipros." Case Studies on Solving Laser Hardening Issues

Explaining with points! Introducing our initiatives based on actual case studies of problem-solving that have occurred.

This document is a collection of case studies summarizing solutions to challenges in laser hardening. It explains how issues that were problematic with conventional heat treatment were resolved through laser hardening, highlighting key points. Based on actual examples of problem-solving, such as "high-frequency hardening of the inner diameter" and "soft zone filling with laser," we will introduce our efforts. We invite you to read it. 【Contents】 ■Introduction ■Case Studies of Problem Solving (1) to (5) ■Conclusion *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
